Miscarriage after seeing a heartbeat?

Hi all,

I’m 11 weeks pregnant (almost at 12). This is my second pregnancy - I miscarried at 5 weeks in Jan if this year. I’ve been really worried during my pregnancy because of this, so booked a private scan last week. It fine, the baby was showing to be bigger than 10 weeks and we saw the heartbeat!

This morning I started bleeding, it’s heavier than spotting and reminds me of the way I started bleeding during my miscarriage earlier this year. I tried to get a referral to the early pregnancy unit near me via my GP. They told me it would be easier for me to go into A&E and get one that way as apparently early pregnancy units aren’t being super responsive due to Covid. So I spent 2.5 hours waiting in A&E, saw and doctor who referred me and said they would call me to organise a scan. A couple of hours after I got back I got a call, basically because my 12 week scan is on Friday this week, they won’t see me before and I have to wait until then. We’ve booked another private scan for Wednesday because I can’t wait until Friday to find out if my baby is ok.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this, miscarrying after seeing a heartbeat. It feels so horrendous, especially after everything being so great last week. I know I don’t know what’s going on yet, I’m trying to stay positive but I’m finding it really difficult.

Thanks in advance :) any advice will be really appreciated xx
