Pregnant ladies, are you going out?

I was just wondering if any pregnant ladies are only going out for walks outside or if people are going out to shops?
I am 17 weeks pregnant and want to get some things from Wilkos, but I don't know if I should be going out due to Covid.
Are you going to go to shops when they open mid June?

I'm 37 weeks and I've been going out only once or twice a week but I couldn't stay home all this time it would drive me crazy

13 weeks and following same guidance for those who aren’t pregnant. By third trimester, if nothing has changed, I’ll probably withdraw a bit more from social contact just to be on the safe side. My toddler goes back to nursery in July so risks may increase then!

I'm still going for walks and to the supermarket, and met up with a friend this week (from over 2m away). I'm WFH but DP is still going to work as a doctor - not a covid ward but interacting with plenty of people.

27 weeks here & initially I hadn’t left the house apart from going out walks or a run in the car for my own sanity. However, this became so detrimental for my mental health, I started to have so much anxiety about going to a shop again, especially as I didn’t know how it all worked regarding queuing, 2m rule, one way systems etc as I hadn’t been out since a week before lockdown! In the last 3 weeks I have gradually went out more, just to the supermarket & one trip to boots to get some baby stuff. I really really needed it as I feel if I left it any longer I would never leave the house again!

My midwife advised to keep self isolating until birth. I'm 32 weeks and intend to follow that advice.

I'm 21 weeks and only go to the local park or hospital appointments.

My husband has taken over the shopping. And everything else we just get delivered.

With the pregnancy and 2 toddlers we don't want to risk it

Congratulations :)

I'm 11 weeks and havent changed anything I've been doing. NHS worker in patient facing role as well so no option to work from home. I will probably finish work once I reach 28 weeks tho to lower my risk (if the restrictions are still in place then)

rocknrosie · 01/06/2020 11:28

yup! 24w and have been going out the whole time, just been socially distancing and WFH. i'd go crazy otherwise

Natalie6543321 · 01/06/2020 12:18

@Charlottejade89 have the NHS said you have to work until 28 weeks or is that your choice?

I went out all the time when I was pregnant a few weeks ago. I was just careful with washing and sanitizing my hands. Pretty much went to Waitrose every day because I couldn't stand being cooped up.

Charlottejade89 · 01/06/2020 12:23

@Natalie6543321 it's my choice but I'm on the bank so if I dont work I dont get paid, I can get ssp but it's only £94 a week so I'm staying in work until 28 weeks. After that I will probably claim ssp for a week or 2 then start my maternity pay earliest I can. It will mean miss out on time with the baby before going back again but cant be helped

36 weeks. Going out for walks & mixing (socially distancing) with small circle, and my appointments. DH is going to work / doing the shopping. I’ll stay the same until Baby is born, only a few weeks now.
Been to the local shop a couple of times, with mask & gloves, just to have the experience of buying myself a magazine / an ice cream.
