Gut feeling about gender?

Hey,

For those who have had kids did you have a gut feeling what gender they would be? Was this gut feeling right?

From the minute I found out I was pregnant I've been convinced it's a girl although I couldn't tell you why. Don't know if I'm getting my hopes up way too much

My husband desperately wants a boy..... I too if I'm honest we have three girls and I know obviously we will love what ever we are blessed with but I feel an overwhelming sence of responsibility this baby wasn't planned so it's the last one I'm 7weeks and unsure what to do find out sex so we know or just have a suprise x

I got a gut feeling with DS and DD and I was right both time. I was rather smugGrin

ploughingthrough · 04/02/2020 01:26

Yes I had a gut feeling and was right both times. DD first then DS.

ploughingthrough · 04/02/2020 01:28

Sorry I missed your update! Congrats on your little boy!

yellowallpaper · 04/02/2020 02:07

Convinced it was a girl but it was another boy.

Kinsters · 04/02/2020 04:43

I wasn't sure until about 12 weeks then I had a really strong feeling that I was having a girl and I was right! Everyone thought it would be a boy as DH has hardly any girls in the family.

mortforya · 04/02/2020 05:27

My gut feeling from very early weeks was always correct on all my 5 children

Dyra · 04/02/2020 08:25

Congratulations @MUMMA2BEX. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

Mine is the same story as Kipper. I was convinced from the start of my pregnancy, right up to 35 weeks that I was having a boy. I woke up one morning after 35 weeks and was suddenly certain she was a girl. Sure enough DD was indeed a girl.

Liverbird77 · 04/02/2020 13:02

I've been correct both times. Boy first and now pregnant with a girl. I guess it's a 50-50 chance though!

mrssunshinexxx · 06/02/2020 11:20

Had my scan this morning having a baby girl x

Urkiddingright · 06/02/2020 11:28

I was right three times but wrong once. I was certain my DS’s were boys because I felt so wretched from 5 weeks onwards whereas with DD I felt amazing, had no symptoms at all. Anyway with DD2 I felt awful so I thought she was a boy, we didn’t find out the sex either so it was a huge surprise when she was born.

MUMMA2BEX · 06/02/2020 12:03

@mrssunshinexxx ah congratulations!!! So you were right 😁😁

@MUMMA2BEX thank you Grin honestly over the moon

Great to hear the update!

DH and I have been entirely correct with our intuition on DCs1-3. So I will utterly eat my hat of we are wrong about 4&5 with whom I am currently pregnant.

Actually, I retract that. Even the thought of eating my hat makes me want to hurl.

Rachel227 · 24/02/2020 21:48

I'm absolutely convinced I'm having a boy. I keep having dreams and every time I dream it's a boy. I'm struggling to visualise a girl.
My mum swore she knew instantly that I was a girl, so I feel like my gut is telling me too.
My partner and I don't mind either way. I'm just so excited to see if my instinct was right.

CloMo1995 · 25/02/2020 15:56

I had a gut feeling about all 3 of mine and they all turned out to be right. Boy, boy, girl.
My partners sister was sure her last pregnancy was with a boy but she turned out to be a girl.
I think its wishful thinking more than anything x

Nowayorhighway · 25/02/2020 16:14

My gut feeling was correct with 3/4 of them but for some reason was just totally off with DC3. I was convinced she was a boy and because we didn’t find out the sex, it was a total shock when she was born. I was right the other three times though and I knew from the beginning with them.

I’m pregnant again and was convinced it was a girl but now starting to change my mind.
