Good evening ladies, I am so excited to join this community, I have been following a few peoples threads and you all seem so supportive!

I need some advice, if any of you can help?
basically I am due on toyda, no af as of yet, had some slight cramping but no sign of any bleeding. last night I took a cheap pregnancy test, which came up with some sort of line, but unsure if positive. This morning I took a clear blue which says it detects pregnancy 6 days before you are due, that was negative, also took a First response today during the day which was negative. but then took another cheap test which showed a faint faint line. so now I am very confused, does anyone have any similar stories? im worried the lines might be evaporation lines?

its just very confusing when im getting on and off faint positives and negatives that's all. and as im 9 days late now it just doesn't make sense as to why their not darker (if I was to be pregnant) that's all.

the human body is a confusing system!! lol x

Hi ladies OP here. Another update, 9 days late for af. But yesterday and today I took an ovulation test, and today’s is darker than yesterday’s, just wondering if anyone else has had this? As I heard it can indicate pregnancy ...

confused, am i pregnant?

The boots test is really sensitive as i got positive a day after my period was due if you 9 days late and still getting negatives I would say your definitely not pregnant the other tests show your ovualtating that's not an indication of pregnancy I've been up to 2 weeks late with my period.

Babyg1995 · 17/10/2019 19:07

And I would never use anything other than a digital as the others are terrible for evap lines it's easy to tell a positive or evap line though but the mind can play tricks if your looking for someone

MyDcAreMarvel · 17/10/2019 19:08

Op you aren’t pregnant from everything you have said. Test again in two weeks to see if you are then pregnant from when you were recently ovulated.

Something not someone dam phoneConfused

Dont know If this helps
But a mistake I was making. I was taking a test and I wouldnt see a line then I'd go back to it a few hours later and it would appear positive but turned out it was evaporated lines.

Thanks for the help ladies. Will test again in a week I’m Defenitley not ovulating so it’s not that as I had an ultra sound which confirmed Iv already ovulated. Will test again when I’m 14 days late and go from there.

Iv read up about people being 14+ days late and ovulation tests have indicated pregnancy but the line has to be darker than the control line. I know my body and will not be ruling out pregnancy until AF arrives :) x

@MyDcAreMarvel I’m not sure whether your comment was supose to sound mean but that’s how Iv taken it. Very bluntly saying I’m not pregnant, it can’t be ruled out until my af arrives so I just found it a bit mean when I read it which I’m sure you didn’t mean, but Iv seen plenty of people in my situation turn out pregnant

Hey so the asda tests you have used that have shown a very faint second line also happened to me before this pregnancy. I have very very irregular periods and never knew if/when I had ovulated so when I took then thinking I was overdue I was getting faint positives I didn't have to hold them upto lights or take cases off but the lines was there. Of course I drove myself nuts and took lots and lots the lines never changed and never got darker... of course I was never pregnant in the first place, i did the exact same as you i read up on as many people as I could about how late they was when they got a positive and some women dont get positive pregnancy tests but got positive blood tests or the other way round... My Advice stop reading what other women have gone through because its making you constantly think what if and it wont be good for you! You are going to stress yourself out which is probally delaying your period. Phantom Symptoms can also appear when we convince ourself that we are pregnant when 9/10 we aint.
When I got pregnant with this one I used the same asda tests because I do believe they are decent tests and the difference in the line was huge compared to the previous tests I thought was positive.

Please try and relax and not drive yourself nuts lol. Xx

@Boymummy3 thanks so much for that advice, I’m going to defo chill now and see if af turns up in another week but If not then I’ll go back to my doctors, thank you xx

Hi OP! I'm 16 weeks pregnant and did an ovulation test yesterday (purely because I still had loads left over and was curious as to what it would show - obviously I know you can't ovulate when pregnant!) and it was definitely positive, so I think you are right in say that OPKs can show a pregnancy. I hope this is the case for you, good luck!

LH1987 · 17/10/2019 23:47

Hi OP, two days before I was last due AF, I started symptom spotting took an ovulation test and it was positive (I had run out of pregnancy tests). Did another ovulation test the next day and it was also positive. Next day did a pregnancy test and got a BFP. So in my experience ovulation tests can show pregnancy ( though obviously it’s not as accurate as a pregnancy test). Fingers crossed for you.

stucknoue · 17/10/2019 23:58

I've been over a week late occasionally, and a week early this month. It happens though you are younger.

Hopefullmamaxx · 18/10/2019 10:45

Thanks so much for your comments @whisper1991 and @LH1987 that gives me hope! Iv decided not to take any for a few days and then go from there! As it says online to wait until up to 2 weeks past AF due date to actually do anything so I’ll try that! I’ll keep you updated in the next few days! Xx

@stucknoue yeah I know it happens but the symptoms I have alongside I just can’t ignore

No op my comment wasn’t meant to sound mean. You are clearly stressing yourself out with thinking you may be pregnant when pregnancy tests and scan all say you are not.
The best thing you can do and I mean this kindly, is move on from that way of thinking.
You recently ovulated so hopefully that egg will result in a pregnancy.

Babyg1995 · 18/10/2019 16:22

Op test with a digital no risk of evap lines you should be getting a clear positive by now with you being so late so any digital test will pick it up I was obsessed with testing the first month we were trying but second month I waited till I was a day late and got a positive from a boots digital.

Hopefullmamaxx · 18/10/2019 16:38

Right okay thanks ladies I’ll take that on board! Xx
