Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

Thanks for reading :)

we are currently in hospital with my DD having an operation and i feel my heart is crushed and i haven't slept all night from worry .. feeling her body go limb with the anaesthetic was very tough ..

being pregnant and nauseous doesn't help the situation

it will never end when the baby comes x goodluck to everyone x

flossy12 · 20/09/2019 10:10

@MrsN2911 I defo have the sore boobs 😅 got home from work today and they were so hot to touch! OH couldn't believe it! Definitely feel slightly heavier aswell, I had a boob job 2 years ago and have slight numbness from that, I'm glad for it now!

@Rainforestandshine I've had slight on and off cramps too they can feel slightly worrying but I've had no bleeding either 🤞🏻 now 6+1 I can't quite believe it still!

flossy12 · 20/09/2019 10:11

@facevalue thoughts are wth you today x

Rainforestandshine · 20/09/2019 10:36

@facevalue Sorry to hear that. Hope all goes well.

@MrsN2911 You’re not alone. I haven’t experienced sore boobs. They are tender and my nipples look as if I’ve just opened the freezer but that’s about it. I have experienced sore skin though. It has become incredibly sensitive to heat. Now that’s pain. It feels like friction burns. Being only size 9 / 10 I don’t think it could be due to weight gain. I suspect the hormones and blood flow may have something to do with it.

@Kstann Thanks. That must have been reassuring for you. I just Googled. I found some places but they are not hospitals, and the price ranges from £75 to £170. What type of place did you have your scan, and how long did it last?

@flossy12 It is worrying but I get comfort from hearing that many other women have experienced the same so it must be common.

mrsf1204 · 20/09/2019 10:39

THEY FOUND A SACK!!!!! God I'm so relieved. A sign of the pregnancy! Dr was so so lovely, so much better than the one from Monday. Was so apologetic about what happened and said all my pains are normal, ovaries are clear, there's a nice little sack there measuring perfectly for 3 weeks post conception so 5+5 in total.

Obviously there is still risk as there always is but I feel so much better just knowing I'm not going insane and that there is definitely a pregnancy!

MarshmallowsOnToast · 20/09/2019 10:51

@mrsf1204

That's fantastic news. Glad this doctor was better than the last!

@MrsN2911

My boobs don't hurt either. They are normally pretty unsensitive (that's not a word is it?! Lol) anyway. 😂

MarshmallowsOnToast · 20/09/2019 10:55

Here's a random question.

Does anybody else live quite close to two hospitals? I need to make a choice where I want to have baby at the booking appointment.

How on earth are you supposed to decide between two at this stage? 🤔🤔

kstann · 20/09/2019 11:09

@mrsf1204 Aww so happy you've had a positive scan!

@Rainforestandshine we went to a Ultrasound Medical services place that do private's scans & blood tests throughout all stages of pregnancy. So it's a proper medical facility. It's meant to be £75 but on a Monday it's only £50, must be their quite day! X

@MarshmallowsOnToast where I live I've got the choice of about 5 hospitals, I just went on line and looked at pictures / reviews/ NHS scores. WHICH also do comparisons and tell you how many births ect at the hospital and statistics x

Doodles93 · 20/09/2019 12:04

Congratulations!! 🥰 I found out yesterday and worked out I should be due around 27th May 😃 my first also! So excited doesn't feel real!

Sunshine8888 · 20/09/2019 13:11

@mrsf1204 great news, I hope you are feeling reassured. I was 5+5 when I had my first scan 😊 next scan is 28th, just want to check heart is still beating and baby is growing ok 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sunshine8888 · 20/09/2019 13:14

And I have had sores boobs since I found out, it was what made me take a test! They got worse between weeks 6-8 and now aren’t quite as bad. They have increased in size noticeably though 😳 need some new bras! That and the tiredness is about the only signs that I’m pregnant!

MarshmallowsOnToast · 20/09/2019 13:47

@kstann

5! Wow. Thanks for that I'll check out WHICH 👍🏻

mrsf1204 · 20/09/2019 16:17

My boobs are in AGONY! I'm quite big cheated anyway but they feel so heavy and swollen.. my mum went from a C Cup to a G across her pregnancies with me and my sister... im already an F BlushConfused Anyone recommend a crane to hold them up?! Haha!

mrsf1204 · 20/09/2019 16:17

*chested

flossy12 · 20/09/2019 17:06

@Rainforestandshine yeah I've heard that too ☺️ just hard not to think 'oh maybe SF is just super late' 😅😅

@mrsf1204 oh I'm so glad!! Aww little baba 😊

@MarshmallowsOnToast I live/and work between two 😅 they are linked together anyway, one has just a birth centre (the closest by 5 mins) and the other has the burg centre, labour ward and theatre, they didn't mention having to choose yet but I'm not sure if I will have to if their in partnership 🤷🏼‍♀️ maybe go for a walk around tour if they can accomodate that?

Peppinana · 20/09/2019 17:47

I’m now freaking out a bit. My dh was cooking dinner and turned the hob on while the iron was on top of it and I’ve breathed in some melted plastic fumes. It was only a couple of minutes and I’m trying to reassure myself but am really worried. I haven’t seen a midwife yet as booking in in a few weeks. Argh.

MarshmallowsOnToast · 20/09/2019 18:31

@flossy12

I might have a look into that thanks!

I only have to choose ready for the booking appointment so they know which hospital to do the 12 week scan referral to.

flossy12 · 20/09/2019 19:22

@Peppinana I'm sure you will be fine hun try not to worry yourself

@MarshmallowsOnToast ahh I see ☺️ at leat you could change for the birth then xx

facevalue · 20/09/2019 19:52

thanks @flossy12 and @Rainforestandshine. it was long but it's over and we r home.

i am so glad i managed to eat LOTS tonight - chinese 😍

flossy12 · 20/09/2019 21:14

@facevalue I h gosh I'm going to be craving Chinese now 😅😅

ChampooPapi · 20/09/2019 21:30

God yes, eating helps so much. I now too live in the queesy world of intermittent sea sickness.

The head gets to me as I keep forgetting I'm pregnant and think I'm hungover because the head feels exactly the same, the I'm always slightly dissatisfied when I remember 'oh I didn't just have a festive night of fun, I'm just pregnant' 😂

ChampooPapi · 20/09/2019 21:32

@Shak19 how are you doing?

flossy12 · 21/09/2019 06:04

Anyone else got 'hot boobs' mine are starting to swell and there really hot 😅

Hardheadedwoman39 · 21/09/2019 07:30

@ChampooPapi I definitely have the hang over feeling, complete with hot sweats and nausea.....so unfair!

Hardheadedwoman39 · 21/09/2019 07:32

@MrsN2911 I don't have sore boobs at all and haven't done in any of my pregnancies. They get slightly bigger but not tender or anything.
