Is anyone else due in may 2020? Shall we set up a group?

Thanks @Moonstone12 it’s great to have a due date buddy! When’s your first scan?

Welcome @LA89 and congrats!

This is my first baby also 😊

Lifesforlivingandloving · 07/09/2019 19:08

@LA89

I'm due 1st of May too - as it stands of course
It could all change lol
How you feeling ? X

zchm · 07/09/2019 20:34

Good luck everyone.

Just got my stick test positive today, and I'm pregnant. Based on the mumsnet calculation I'm due 13th May, but my calculation is probably nearer to end of May.

First pregnancy so don't know what to expect yet, just try to follow what to eat, drinks etc.

My first sign is hay fever (which I only occasionally have in spring) so it's very odd I have hay fever now. No other symptom so far except for being late 5 days (hence the test). :-)

Going to call the GP on Monday to see what we need to do.

lornz · 07/09/2019 21:12

Coming aboard.

Got my first strong positive on Monday at 10DPO and they progressively become darker over the week. AF is technically due tomorrow 🙈

Symptoms- nausea and sickness, headaches and sore breasts/nipples

EDD - 17th May

Whyhaveidonethis · 08/09/2019 00:05

I've just asked to join the group. Tentatively due in May if this one sticks.

May2311 · 08/09/2019 20:36

Hi everyone

Jumping on if that's ok 😊

First baby EDD 2 May ( however I think this will be pushed back slightly at dating scan)

First midwife appointment on Wednesday - little nervous as not sure what to expect!

Symptoms are ok at the moment- only sore boobs and nausea which comes and goes very quickly.

I also look 6 months pregnant today- so bloated 😂🙈 is anyone else suffering with this?

Xx

Lifesforlivingandloving · 08/09/2019 21:14

@May2311
That's quick getting an app. I self referred about 10 days ago and have heard nothing yet

I'm massively bloated . My jeans are digging in . Think it's partly coz I'm a bit constipated lol x and feeling very nauseous today and full after just a few mouthfuls of food x

May2311 · 09/09/2019 06:39

@Lifesforlivingandloving I thought so as well. I just had to ring docs and they gave me tel numbers for midwife. It is like a midwife centre. They booked my second appointment in as well! I don't mind I like it when things are quick lol.

Glad I'm not the only one. I slept awful last night. Absolutely exhausted but couldn't sleep! This week will be fun at work😬

Thumper13 · 09/09/2019 07:19

Hi, I got BFP on Saturday, unplanned, not with my partner at present so all a bit shell shocked
My expected date Is 13th may x

Sunshine8888 · 10/09/2019 13:22

Congrats @Thumper13 how are you feeling? X

Thumper13 · 11/09/2019 08:20

@Moonstone12 I'm feeling poorly, I was on anti depressants and saw the doctor mo day and have come off them so the withdrawal alongside the sickness and sore boobs is very hard but all worth it x

Sunshine8888 · 11/09/2019 08:22

Aww I’m sorry, that does sound tough. Luckily I am not feeling any sickness yet. Very sore boobs and tired but I’d take that over sickness. Hope you’re ok x

carnaval · 11/09/2019 19:21

Hello! 1st May here Smile

zchm · 12/09/2019 07:55

@May2311 : that's very quick. I called my GP and they referred me to call the 3 hospitals, to register and book 1st appointment, which they wont complete for another 2 weeks, and will give me appointment for 8 weeks check. Not sure if this is the norm, I was hoping to see the GP or midwives earlier than that.

@Thumper13: my EDD (from mumsnet) is the same as you, 13th May. But will see after the 1st appointment. do you have any symptoms yet? I have sore boobs, no longer fit in my jeans (don't know what to wear for my holiday in November) Confused . I don't have nausea yet, just occasionally heart burn (which is quite normal after I eat). Hmm

May2311 · 12/09/2019 08:08

@zchm very quick indeed! It was just a basic check up and a "group" talk. Midwife went through loads of info - what not to eat, exercise vitamins etc and then midwife met each of us separately where she did basic obs- blood pressure, weight, height, co2 levels etc. This appointment was called "pre booking appointment". My Booking appointment is 26 September. I think it just depends on what area your in. The "pre booking" appointment I've not heard of before so I don't think it's common. Although this is my first baby so I can't say it's something I know a lot about 😂

Thumper13 · 12/09/2019 08:11

My body feels horrible, boobs are so sore, irrational moody and just Plain horrible to be around apparently Confused this will be my 3rd child and dont remember being this symptomatic and bloated at 5 weeks!
I guess this time I am doing it alone and will have the kids, a full time job, a dog and two cats to all deal with whereas I was in a long term relationship with my boys so it's a completely different t experience! X

flossy12 · 12/09/2019 08:37

The bloat is bad this morning!! 😱😱 look like I'm 12 weeks already 😅 been working all night though so might be back flat once I've slept, got gurgling in my womb like after I had my coil fitted 😅 nipples are definitely getting more sensitive and omg sssoooo TIRED

zchm · 12/09/2019 09:26

@May2311: depends on location indeed I think. It took me 30mins waiting on the phone line with GP just so that they can let me know please go to their website, fill in the form and send over to the hospital of my choice for 1st check up (which is at 8 weeks) with the midwives. Shock. Had to ask the doctor to call again for general advise as this is my first time.
@Thumper13: my dogs keep my anxiety level down too, whenever I feel anxious.
@flossy12: I feel sleepy all the time too. Cant open my eyes after 10pm.

EmmaOvary · 13/09/2019 22:38

Hi ladies, room for a little one? Got my BFP this morning, due date 26th May. No symptoms so far, a bit sicky but I think that is a bug as sure I had that before even conceiving. I'm only week 5 from tomorrow, so seems a bit early for morning sickness.

flossy12 · 13/09/2019 22:47

@zchm it's hard isn't it! 4 12 hour night shifts in a row this week and for the next 3 weeks aswell until my holiday then I'm starting to scatter them out don't think I'll be able to hack it after a while

Ohana6419 · 13/09/2019 22:53

Hi all can I join? Got my BFP yesterday 😊 We are absolutely over the moon but it doesn't feel real yet!

EDD 26th May: @EmmaOvary looks like we are due date twins!

EmmaOvary · 13/09/2019 22:56

@Ohana6419 haha, exciting! Congratulations to you. I am similarly in shock. DH asked why I wasn't excited but it really hasn't sunk in yet.

Ohana6419 · 13/09/2019 23:00

@EmmaOvary Yeah it's a lot to take in: we've been having waves of excitement but then panic that it won't work out, plus moments where we realise it doesn't feel real at all. It's definitely going to take some time to get used to the idea!

EmmaOvary · 13/09/2019 23:02

@Ohana6419 I get that. I also haven't had symptoms so it's even harder to believe. This is our first baby and I'm older (38) so was expecting a long wait and problems. Fingers crossed!

Woodlandwitch · 14/09/2019 07:30

I got my BFP yesterday so hoping to join the FB group too. Very excited!
