..any these are unusual?..
as long as you are happy with them going to school with 5 children with the same name...
...think outside the box a little...

Love Nell by-the-way.

Luca and Remi are good for boys (couldn't have Remi as DS1 is Bailey, and people might start thinking I have a penchant for alcohol related names....!)

Girls.....um....Elsie, Robyn, Ellis (was girl's choice for DS1).

Trouble is, there isn't really any unusual names anymore, anything goes.

And it is SO subjective too....Just don't tell people your choices as I'm always amazed at the amount of people that feel free to comment (usually negatively) on your choice of names - would they be so negative if you'd told them once the baby had been born? Huh, I don't think so...

Good luck...

AH - our surname is phillips, in 2004, when Isis was born, there were 4 Isis Phillipses born - how is that for orginality?!

youpeskykids · 01/08/2007 23:24

Oooh, just thought of a couple more.

A little girl has joined DS1's nursery class called Innes (love it). Did think about Milla for a girl at one point too...

looseleaf- few people asked if its short for harriet and we umm'd and aarh'd about putting Harriett on her birth certificate so she could choose what she wanted to be when older, but decided since we were calling her Hattie we'd put that on her birth certificate

duchess/magicmayhen - we do have comments about hattie jacques and dh loves 'carry on' films but she defo was not named after her (in fact I never knew that was her name till I googled Hattie )

We found out she was a girl and we had planned on Jessica/Charlotte but then everyone we spoke to knew someone with those names so night before elective section dh flicked thru baby name book and we came up with Lexie (Alexia) or Hattie, she so suits her name and we decided Hattie within a minute of her being born. Her middle name is Alice after dh grandma who'll be 94 soon dd1 is Ellie Pippa and there are Ellie's everywhere

looseleaf · 02/08/2007 08:28

I think you did the right thing eandh. I love your names as love Alexia/ Lexie too and my daughter has Alice as her middle name.
I didn't realise Eloise is used so often, quite glad to know as I've always liked the fact not too many people share my name (iona)

GreatGooglyMoogly · 02/08/2007 15:13

Dean?

Taichimum · 02/08/2007 15:20

Reuben is a great name (can be Ru for short), but take heed, no one knows how to spell it so bit of a mixed blessing.

Official variation on spelling is Ruben, but most people try and spell it Rubin.

ashall · 02/08/2007 16:21

We have three little girls and I absolutely adore their names...obviously!...

Monica Jane
Sophie Lorraine
Isabelle Kate

No idea what to call our fourth baby though, due in 7weeks....
