Just wondering if anyone has managed to talk their consultant into inducing them early / on your due date?

I had diabetes with DD and she was 'borderline' large baby! I gave birth to her naturally but had a bad PPH afterwards and stitches.

My consultant said if I have GD this time she will be inducing me at 38 weeks (last time I had the option) and giving me growth scans regardless! This time I do not have diabetes!

Im now panicking she won't put me for induction! Iv had a scan today (28 weeks) and baby is 2Lb 10 I am panicking about going into labour naturally with a big baby, I live an hour away from the hospital and my biggest fear is a c-section!

Even though I had a VERY traumatic labour/birth last time I coped well with it mentally as I had amazing doctors and knew I was in a safe place!

I know if I wanted a C-section I could get one what are the chances of being induced?

Also they told me DD was 6LB 2 from growth scan and not even a week later she was born 8LB 9 so this is also making me panic about baby's size!

I had a ten pounder. He flew out. When I was in hospital the mw said she'd delivered a 12lb 3oz baby with no pain relief for the mum apart from gas and air!! What a trooper!

Totally reasonable to ask from 39 weeks. After all if you were having an elective section it would be at the same gestation.
