I might be losing the plot....

My last period started on 4th June, I calculated my ovulation to be around 20th-24th June (I'm not the best with these calculations!). My periods usually last 7 days, my cycle length is typically 29 days. So due on tomorrow (2nd July). I have been ravenous, I'm usually very controlled as I meal prep weekly and eat no junk food or unhealthy snacks. I feel really swollen, mild cramps but nothing more than I would usually get. But my lower back has also been quite painful, as well as sooooo exhausted when I haven't even been doing anything! I also just feel, different. Very emotional and for no reason.

I took a really cheap test I had lying about the house yesterday evening, it was negative. But figured it was cheap, and quite early to test. Do you think it would be worth grabbing an early detection test, from experience what's the best brand, FR? Has anyone else has really early pregnancy signs, or is it not common for that too happen?

2 days late. Very tender breasts. I just had a feeling

Loopytiles · 01/07/2019 18:53

Fatigue.

Xyzzzzz · 01/07/2019 18:53

Backache and cramps. My periods are irregular but the backache was unusual

BogglesGoggles · 01/07/2019 18:55

Massive breasts like the day after conceiving. DH was the first to notice 🙄

zenlife · 01/07/2019 18:56

My earliest pregnancy symptom was crazy crazy hunger. I literally could not feel full, and I knew that was not normal for me because I normally always feel sick and lose my appetite when I am pre menstual. That was literally the only thing that made me suspect. Sadly I only knew I was pregnant for a week because I miscarried xx

zenlife · 01/07/2019 18:57

Oh I should add also... I felt VERY hot and had to keep putting cold flannels on my head!!

magneticmumbles · 01/07/2019 19:05

The lack of chronic period pain and irritability.

MrsHardbroom · 01/07/2019 19:19

As an IVF veteran, as well as a previous user of several infertility forums, I'd say that there are really no early pregnancy symptoms that are not also mimicked by PMS. I think when people convince themselves that x, y, or z were very early signs of pregnancy it's because they were looking hard for signs and then a positive test cements this in their mind. It's just confirmation bias. Sorry.

TheBitchOfTheVicar · 01/07/2019 19:22

I kept waking up at 3am, fully awake. Ended up watching a LOT of films before work. Happened with each pg.

MrsHardbroom · 01/07/2019 19:22

What I mean by that is before your period is due. Symptoms usually start at about 6 weeks

zenlife · 01/07/2019 19:27

@MrsHardbroom I'm sorry I have to disagree with you. I knew I was pregnant four days before my missed period because my symptoms were completely different to my normal PMS ones, everyone is different and just because you don't feel different to normal pms doesn't mean everyone else will feel the same xxx

CustardCreamLover · 01/07/2019 19:28

I had normal PMT symptoms so was convinced I wasn't pregnant but I had horribly sore boobs and they were unbelievably veiny. At the time I thought I was reading too much into symptoms because I was desperate to be pregnant but nope, that was my first pregnancy symptom! Didn't get nausea until 6 or 7 weeks.

nicannie · 01/07/2019 19:33

My nausea is extreme. I'm still one day before period due. Had the two faint positives. And I felt I just knew. I've never been pregnant before, and I just felt different this time. So I disagree as well if I'm honest. Plus smells that I usually would like (salt and vinegar crisps) made me feel almost sick the other day! I have to say, I feel I definitely have early symptoms and from my workings I'd only be 4 weeks tomorrow.

I tested at what was 3+1 by dates (but would have been 3+6 looking back now that they've moved my due date forward). I'd had 2 days of nausea, metallic taste in my mouth and one sore boob.

dontforgetto · 01/07/2019 19:43

I also disagree! With my first pregnancy I didn't know (we weren't actively trying); I had constipation and mild cystitis. I googled and pregnancy was a top 'answer' so I tested with fmu following day and got strong positive despite not being due AF for another day or so.

Second time around, I got waves of nausea five days before AF. It was our first month of trying for DC2. It was mild and fleeting, yet unmistakable morning sickness. I was on a day out with DH and DC1 so definitely not symptom spotting and as soon as I felt it, I was certain I was pregnant. I waited two days to test and got a squinter; two days later a firm positive.

FleasAndKeef · 01/07/2019 19:44

Crazy vivid dreams was my first sign- positive test the next day. That looks like a positive to me, congratulations!

AllTheWhoresOfMalta · 01/07/2019 19:48

With DD1 I got a blinding a terrible migraine. I do get migraines but this was not at the usual time of the month. Next day had a positive FRER at 10dpo. With DD2 I sat up in the middle of the night and said “Jesus, I feel sick” and proceeded to projectile vomit across the room. DH suggested I go and take a pregnancy test if I had one knocking about. I did have a FRER in the drawer, it was indeed positive at 9dpo.

Doormat247 · 01/07/2019 19:50

Eating chicken pizza and for some reason it tasted like salmon. Then I got heartburn every time I thought about food. Got a positive result last week.

WhatsInAName19 · 01/07/2019 19:52

Everything smelled a bit weird. Boobs very itchy. Also (TMI) my urine smelled very odd and very strong. It did all the way through pregnancy. After that, nausea and fatigue.

MrsC89 · 01/07/2019 19:52

Bit of a random one. The first sign that made me test was really bad cramps after orgasm, like to the point I was sweating, panting and thought I was going to pass out.

PompeyBez · 01/07/2019 19:56

Constipation and very sore boobs before late period. My evening tests were negative. I only tested positive in the morning

bellajay · 01/07/2019 20:05

Sore, sensitive boobs about a week before my period was due. Felt pretty confident I was knocked up as they’d never felt like that before (or since).

MunchyMunchkin · 01/07/2019 22:38

Stabby pains deep in my boobs. Different from the generalised Pre period boob aching. I’ve been pregnant 3 times this year and it’s been the same every time.
With this hopefully sticky one I was also unreasonably exhausted and had to have an afternoon nap. Got a positive on a cheapy the next afternoon. Probs about 10dpo.

faelavie · 01/07/2019 23:22

Pretty boring standard one for me - late period and I'm usually regular. No signs before that.

Sissy79 · 01/07/2019 23:24

Weak jelly arms. I couldn’t lift a thing. Had to take a little break from doing a 3 point turn or parallel parking.
