Hi All,

I'm Jill I'm in the UK in Manchester, am I right in thinking a lot of ladies here are in America? Interesting to learn how antenatal care differs!

@Allotmentgarden 😂 that's hilarious lol

stephn88 · 18/06/2019 20:25

My goodness! Never thought they'd be this many of us, clearly not a lot to do in Andover! 😉😉😂😂

This is my first baby, terrified and super excited all at the same time!

Just done my birth plan today, have chosen the birthing unit at the hospital but this could change to Winchester hospital if required.

Just to let you ladies know, I've found the midwifes at Andover and Winchester fantastic! Always helpful, ready to listen and very sympathetic if you're nervous, worried etc....

NapsAndTea · 18/06/2019 20:35

@stephn88 we've gone for Winchester but will look around Basingstoke too and see which we prefer. We're waiting for a few back related complications so best to be in a main hospital! Also first baby x

stephn88 · 18/06/2019 20:42

@NapsAndTea I really like Winchester, been there load snow for additional monitoring and everyone has always been lovely etc....

Do you guys know what you're having or are you leaving it a surprise?

We're having a boy 🥰

Lost5stone · 18/06/2019 20:48

stephn88 Naps I have a lot of friends who have gone to basingstoke and said they were amazing so worth a look around. I had DD in salisbury and plan to do the birth centre this time but will see if they let me, if not I'll go back to salisbury as I had a great birth there.

And me!

American living in the UK. I would expect more Americans on a website called Momsnet rather than Mumsnet. We don't say Mum (though Canadians are a different bag entirely). Wink

I'm in Pennsylvania in the US. Currently 24 weeks.

Allotmentgarden · 18/06/2019 22:02

@justchecking1 oh my this is hilarious

@stephn88 @NapsAndTea this is my second- had first at Winchester as had to be induced and they were lovely. Had to stay in for 3 nights and the midwives were so kind and caring. Same actually for the Andover team. Got my 16 week appointment tomorrow and have car trouble so they are doing it at home, so amazing.

@Lost5stone I’m hoping to have it at home or the birth center this time too as long as everything is okay.

If anybody fancies a coffee in town or rosebourne or something let me know.

username95 · 19/06/2019 16:43

Bedfordshire over here! Currently 23 weeks (and 4 days but who's counting) Smile
