How old were you?

Hey all,

How old were you all having your first child? I'm 31 and husband is 38. Just wondering if we are quite old or not to be having first child?

I was 22 and ExH was 33 with my first.
I was 33 and DH was 26 was my last.

I never felt particularly young or old in comparison to other mums. A few of my friends had babies at around 21/22, the rest waited until thirty or so and a few waited until late thirties.

30 and 35 having our first.
I'll be 32 and DP will be 37 when our second and final baby is due next month.

First at 19, second and last at 21

I was 35 and DH 39 when we had our first, expecting second now at 39 and 43.

I’ve got quite a lot of friends similar ages having kids. Very few of my friends had kids young, just a couple.

First at 16, will be 19 with the next

I'm 32 and husband is 33! I'd say you're average these days :)

26 and dh 28

I was 34 and DP 36, second 38 and DP 40 x

I was 32.5 and H 42 almost 43 with 1st (his 3rd)
I was 35 (just!) and H 45 with 2nd (his 4th)

I’ve never felt particularly young or old and if there wasn’t a 10yr age gap between me and H I wouldn’t rule out a 3rd!

My first pregnancy I was 22 but that ended in MC. If this bean stays sticky then I'll be 27, DH will be 33.

We are both 25 and now have a gorgeous 10 week old

I was 30 when I gave birth to my first and it seemed quite average. 37 with my next one

I’ll be 33 as will my partner.

I am 27 and DP is 29 with our first x

I was 16 when I had my first
Then 30 when I had my second...and fingers crossed as I got a bfp this morning I'll have my third at 33!!

27 with our first, 33 with last DC

I was 19. DH 34. A bit on the younger end of the spectrum to say the least.

32 for my first. Not sure of the overall population average but certainly didn't seem unusual in any way.

DC2 is due around my birthday so I'll be either 34 or 35.

I was 20 with my first and 27 with my second.

I was 35, got pregnant by accident. Most of my NCT friends about same age or a bit younger.

I was 43, and have a beautiful almost 16 year old daughter.. ...really wanted a second but after two miscarriages at 44 stopped trying as felt it was not to be and felt so lucky to have had one.

I was 43, husband 41.

She was long in the making, but worth it all!!!

I was 39 and DH was 41. We tried for so many years and eventually gave up hope of ever conceiving. Then I fell pregnant. He's an only child though.
