Ok do my due date is 30th Sept. The concert is August the 12th? (Around that) it's ed Sheeran in the park so no seats and Is in Leeds which is two hours away. Is that possible? Has anyone been in that situation. The part that's making me nervous is it's outside so no seats. I'm praying I can do it I've been wanting to see him for years, the were my birthday present from January so DP got me them just before we found out that I was pregnant.

Honestly I think it'll be hard work, especially if it's warm still. Could you take some form of seating?

BeeYouTiful · 27/03/2019 13:45

I was due to go to see Ed Sheeran in Manchester in October 2014, a week before my due date. The morning of the concert on my way to get an outfit I took a bad turn and ended up being admitted into hospital with pre eclampsia, came out of nowhere. I gave birth the following day. It must have been the excitement!

As long as there's SOMEWHERE you can take a seat if you need it you'll be fine, I'd park my butt on the floor if needed. I also went to see Lee Evans, and Peter Kay with my first child at around 38 weeks, I did have a seat though so it's a bit different.

pastabest · 27/03/2019 13:47

I would have been absolutely fine in both pregnancies to go to something like that at that stage of pregnancy, but I've also got friends who would have struggled due to SPD etc.

The truth is that you won't really know until much nearer the time.

If you take a camping chair or something and sit somewhere quiet though it should be fine.

Prequelle · 27/03/2019 13:49

I've got tickets to see Muse, I'll be 20 weeks and it's standing so I'm not going to risk it :(

spaniorita · 27/03/2019 13:51

I went to see take that at 9 months pregnant. I got free priority seating right by the stage (excellent view!!) with my mum and dh!! Just email the organisers and see what they say!

Melamine · 27/03/2019 13:51

Definitely take a chair! I go to gigs regularly and your feet WILL be killing you after a couple of hours standing - mine have been since 24 weeks so by 8 months it’s going to be super sore.

troppibambini · 27/03/2019 13:54

Prequelle no way would I be missing your concert 38 weeks is one thing but at 20 weeks I would go you will barely be showing!!

mcjx · 27/03/2019 13:56

I couldn't do that I'd be knackered. But then again I have SPD and anemia so that doesn't help!

It's entirely up to you and how you will feel, every pregnancy is different Smile

Prequelle · 27/03/2019 13:58

I've seen Muse before and know what the crowd is like, I'm not risking getting a slam to the abdo especially as I'm rhesus negative.

troppibambini · 27/03/2019 13:59

Aah ok fair enough I would just be gutted to miss outGrin

snoopy18 · 27/03/2019 14:01

Plan to go but if you can’t at the time then just sell your ticket as annoying as it may be. You could be totally fine - I was good at 30 weeks I’m a music photographer and was still shooting at that point on feet moving around lots & going to lots of shows - if anything try take something to sit in or sit on the floor some place. They’ll have paramedics etc there if anything was to happen. You just won’t know until the time. Good luck! He’s awesome live!

DevaDiva · 27/03/2019 14:04

I was about 8 months when I went to see Robbie Williams at Milton Keynes bowl, 17 years ago with DHGrin Travelled from London but stayed overnight with BIL so didn't have to travel back in the same day.

It was fine, took a picnic blanket to sit on and it was a lovely sunny day. We did leave part way through the encore as id had enough by then and wanted to beat the crowds.

If I had tickets for Ed I'd definitely go, enjoy!

Prequelle · 27/03/2019 14:04

trop I am sooo gutted but my mum is gunna take her friend instead so I'm glad the tickets haven't been wasted

nos123 · 27/03/2019 14:15

You’ll be surprised by how exhausted you’ll be. In the last month I couldn’t stand for more than 10 minutes and would certainly struggle sitting on the floor (and getting up). After about 2 hours of being out of the house I was very fed up! I think this wasn’t helped by the fact I struggled to get comfortable to sleep at night. But everyone is different, that was just my experience!

HatePeppaPig · 27/03/2019 14:25

Thanks everyone not going to lie I was hoping everyone would say I should go and magical unicorns would rub my feet for me🙃 I think I'll plan to go for now until body and baby say otherwise I'll also contact the organizer maybe there's something they could do

I'm going to Download festival at 34 weeks pregnant. I'm gonna take a camping chair and find a good spot to sit and relax xx

Triskaidekaphilia · 27/03/2019 15:38

I'm going to Download festival at 34 weeks pregnant. I was considering the same, we must have similar due dates! I might have managed the arena (apart from loo issues) but that camping while sober wasn't for me! Luckily I've seen most of this years lineup that I'd want to see in previous years/gigs, and my friends don't seem to want to go either.

Triskaidekaphilia · 27/03/2019 15:38

Sorry meant to tag you @Mrsmummy90

Pinkkahori · 27/03/2019 15:42

I went to see Ed Sheeran eith my friend when she was 36 weeks.
We had standing tickets but when she was tired we went to lean on a barrier/fence thing and someone from First Aid saw us and gave us access to some seats they had.

anniehm · 27/03/2019 15:45

I did this (6 months though) and should have taken a seat! It won't be rowdy so if you are allowed a camping seat take one and sit on edge so you can access the toilets OR contact the venue and see if you can use the disabled access area

Mrsmummy90 · 27/03/2019 15:55

@Triskaidekaphilia I'm giving camping a miss this year and am staying in a lodge with my Dh and a couple of friends.
In regards to the loos, I struggle to stand for too long because of my spd so I'm having to apply for a disability pass so that I can skip the massive queues and use the disabled loos.

I'm due 26th July! How about you?

shopaholics · 27/03/2019 17:44

I wanted to go to download when 36 weeks this year but unfortunately since hitting 24 weeks I've realised I just won't be able to cope due to hip and back issues.
You may be plain sailing so don't write it off yet but I'd maybe not get your hopes up just in case

mommysharkdodo · 27/03/2019 21:37

I was 34 weeks pregnant today and couldn't think of anything worse than go to any kind of event like that! I'm hoping I can find some energy from somewhere for my baby shower on Sunday 🙈

it's weird because some days I don't even feel pregnant (apart from all the movement in my stomach) and other days I can't move and spend the whole day uncomfortable feeling sorry for myself!

cocodash · 27/03/2019 21:44

I am supposed to go to 2 gigs before my due date. One 6 weeks before and one 2 weeks.

The one 6 weeks before I have all intentions of going and would cry for months if I didn't go and its most defo not to see the spice girls before anyone asks 100% is and I'm not ashamed

but the one at 2 weeks (pink) I will wait and see how I feel. We have standing tickets for pink so the other options is to try and swap them out for seated tickets nearer the time

Triskaidekaphilia · 27/03/2019 22:56

@Mrsmummy90 25th July! Smile Lodge sounds much better than camping! I have signs of spd and can barely move by the end of the day but my midwife shrugged it off so no idea if I have it Confused
