Ok do my due date is 30th Sept. The concert is August the 12th? (Around that) it's ed Sheeran in the park so no seats and Is in Leeds which is two hours away. Is that possible? Has anyone been in that situation. The part that's making me nervous is it's outside so no seats. I'm praying I can do it I've been wanting to see him for years, the were my birthday present from January so DP got me them just before we found out that I was pregnant.

Get your gp to diagnose you and refer you to physio.
Spd is horrible and if not sorted, will just get worse!

You should so go to download 😂 I'm going to find a nice spot with my chair and just send my Dh to get me food every so often lol

FrankiesKnuckle · 27/03/2019 23:05

I saw the stone roses at Heaton park when I was 34weeks - wearing compression stockings helped massively! And they let me use the disabled loo (a steward saw me queuing and ushered me over)

Seeing them sober was an eye opener!

RobertSmithdoesmyhair · 27/03/2019 23:10

I saw Muse at 8 months pregnant. Stayed right at the back looking like someone's mum! 😁

PhoebeBear · 27/03/2019 23:19

I got booked surprise tickets to see the spice girls when I'm 7 months.. I'm still very weary wether it will be a good idea to go too x

BlackPrism · 27/03/2019 23:51

In the Park is fucking warm usually but quite chill to sit on the ground etc. I'd worry about the loos though

PBobs · 27/03/2019 23:54

I would totally go. Just check and see if you can take a folding chair. If not allowed I would take a blanket. Find a spot around the edges of the enclosure - not right up front of stage :D More so that you can get out if you keep needing a pee (that would be my biggest concern) but also so you can sit on the floor out of people's way. That's what I would do at least.

avacadooo · 28/03/2019 00:57

I'm going to spice girls a 3 hour drive one way at 33weeks also driving there and back in one day!
I'd go and bring a camping chair!
Also pp going to download I'm so jealous and in awe of you for doing it while pregnant, hope it's nice weather this year!!

Justus22 · 28/03/2019 06:58

I'm going to see the spice girls an hour away from me at 36 weeks but we got seated as knew I'd not be up for standing and being knocked around by then. Ed in the park would be totally different though I imagine, I'd email organisers definitely and I'm sure they'll accommodate (let you have a chair.) Everyone is totally different at that stage as others have said but if you sail through your pregnancy you'll likely be bored and clock watching until baby by then so it'll do you good to get out. Xx

I’d say it depends on what kind of gig (big difference between a Metallica and an Adele concert), and on how you feel :)
I went to a club night a week before I was due, but there was space for me to go if I needed it and I was lucky to feel very fit.

heymammy · 29/03/2019 18:57

I saw red hot chili peppers at 8 months pregnant (a million years ago) I was standing and was totally fine. Gig was in my home city though, don't know if that makes a difference. I was also only 28 and could NOT have done the same when I was pregnant with dc3 at 37 Grin

ThinkingAboutRL · 29/03/2019 19:03

I’d have said yes but I’ve just hit 32 weeks and would no way manage it at 8 months now. Not standing or in a car that long. Close by and with seats I’ve had said yes!

LBOCS2 · 29/03/2019 19:35

I went and saw Bowling for Soup at about 8mo pregnant a couple of years ago. It was standing only but we stayed near the back and it was absolutely fine. I did everything I could to make it easier on me though - instead of getting public transport I drove up to Camden instead so I was rested and could get away quickly afterwards.

I have been to a lot of gigs pregnant. The worst, by a long shot, was seeing The Offspring at about 11wks and having ALL DAY sickness - the smell of the venue plus the fact that it was heaving and I was concerned about getting to the loo if I needed to, meant that I didn't actually concentrate on the band at all.

Fridasrage · 30/03/2019 02:20

I'd contact the venue and ask about seating - i'd imagine they'd sort something out.

I was listening to a podcast the other day that reminds me of this that you might enjoy! It's called The Double Shift - www.thedoubleshift.com/ - about working mother's lives (not parenthood or kids) and the first episode is about a frontwoman in a punk rock band who was on tour with her band at eight months pregnant. It's a fab listen!

PregnantSea · 30/03/2019 02:48

Take a camping chair and have a nice time :) just listen to your body and go home if you need to

elp30 · 30/03/2019 03:00

I saw David Bowie and Tin Machine in a small venue with no seating on December 11th and my due date was the 16th.
It was hot, heaving and this wasn't Bowie being all still, it was loud and raucous rock!
I just sort of kept out of the way of the silly men trying to head bang and thrash about.
So, I'm thinking Ed Sheeran fans are much better behaved and you'll have no problems.

thismeansnothing · 30/03/2019 03:23

Ah go! I went to a gig in Manchester last month when I was 37 week. People were shocked when I said we were going. Lord knows why. Manchester has plenty of accessible hospitals 🤔 It was fine. Sat down between acts, was all good. Although explaining to security as they did a bag search as to why I had a plastic folder with my notes in was interesting. Baby loved it btw, dancing around in there to the bass 🤣

Oh and I had the baby 5 days later.

I'm due on 15 Nov and have tickets for Ed Sheeran on 23 Aug and was debating whether or not to go but I guess I won't know how I feel until nearer the time. Also love the advice about contacting the organisers, if they can sort out seating! I'll also take a fold up hair or rug if I go!

Jaggypinecone · 30/03/2019 10:57

I was three days overdue when I went to a gig. I did have seats mind you but the First Aid folks were suddenly on their toes when they saw me in the queue to get in. I was ushered to the front and very well looked after.

Thismummyruns · 30/03/2019 13:34

I had tickets for a gig for when I would've been approx 37 weeks- I sold them as soon as I found out as it was not a position I would want to be in personally

Can someone delete that please?? It was meant for a new thread :(

Suzeyshoes · 30/03/2019 21:01

I saw the Kooks at the Roundhouse at 8 months with my first. Stood near the back. I had a lot of energy at that stage though which I know isn't always the case. Make the most of it while you can!!

bebeboeuf · 01/04/2019 09:56

I did. I made sure I had a seat. I wouldn’t have been able to do it standing up.

HoustonBess · 01/04/2019 10:04

Impossible to say, as others have said. I'm 34 weeks now (7 1/2 months) and need a rest after just popping to the shops!

You might be totally fine or you might one or a mix of SPD, insomnia, indigestion, swollen ankles, back pain, piles, blood pressure problems - the list goes on.

I'd be reluctant to spend 4 hours in a car on one day. You could consider staying over to break the journey. Don't even think about going without some kind of seating - camping chair, rug etc
