Hi, so if you have seen any of my previous posts I've not had the easiest of pregnancies to say the least!

My waters broke on Saturday but the hospital I was at wasn't convinced and sent me home twice without doing a scan until my consultant saw my notes and called me back in immediatelyscanned me and admitted me straight away.

Anyway, very long story short, I've been shipped off to a specialist unit at the other side of the country to wait and see... the labour hasn't started thank goodness and I am 100% in the best place possible but I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to think and feel.

Has anyone been in this position before and can offer any advice or insight?

Thanks!

Hi! Sorry I haven't given an update before! It's been a bit of a haze. On Monday her scan showed her to have waters! Not huge amount but enough to put off delivery as all other other signs were also great so we thought we would try and get her a bit further! However on Tuesday I had another bleed and they decided that a C section was needed that day so at 7.53 on I gave birth to a (crying) 1.05kg baby girl! As she came out breathing on her own and crying she was able to have 2 minutes of delayed cord clamping which amazed everyone! She is up in the NICU unit and doing really well considering her age etc. It's a long road ahead but she is so strong and feisty I'm sure we will get there. Unfortunately after the birth I went downhill and then a bit more. I have an odd shaped uterus apparently, which is potentialy the reason for a lot of the issues, and I also lost quite a lot of blood during and after the section. I spent 3 days doing nothing but sleeping and trying to express milk and luckily had amazing support from my husband and mum! Yesterday afternoon I had a blood transfusion and I honestly feel like a new woman! I can walk without passing out and open my eyes in daylight without a splitting headache! My milk production has also begun in earnest and I feel like I can properly start caring for my little girl! I know we have a long road ahead but I'm feeling so positive and so proud of my little one! I just cannot wait to be able to hold her and kiss her little head! She really is a miracle!
Thank you all so much for your positive thoughts it really has meant a lot! I'm not sure if they will let me post a picture but I will give it a go!

Now we just have to think of a name for her...
