Thanks my3boys...
How have you found the age gap between your little one and the older ones? I thought for years that we were done with having babies, but then got really broody last year...some midlife crisis! It took ages to convince dh but he was really on board until I kind of gave up ttc end of last year...I had just about accepted that 3 is enough for me, and now the bfp happened! Still can't quite believe it. I'm a bit worried because we have had really difficult start of the year financially, (both self employed) and baby no.4 will mean we will need to upgrade the car! 😱 but I'm really excited too. I'm secretly hoping for a girl too... fingers crossed for little princesses!

Ameliel · 21/03/2019 14:46

Oh and the babygrow is great idea, thanks!

twodogsandcounting · 21/03/2019 16:35

Thanks @My3boys9910 that is reassuring. the cramps have been coming and going all day, though they are only mild and there's no bleeding or spotting. My midwife has told me not to worry unless the cramps are constant and/or accompanied by heavy bleeding. I just want this first trimester over with mainly so I can get my 12 week scan and see that everything is ok x

My3boys9910 · 21/03/2019 18:14

@Ameliel its so much better than when i had young ones close in age...they find babies more cute when they are older themselves...and they can help out a lot too!...yeah moneys always my first worry...im a stay at home mum & partner has his own business...but i do hate to put the burdon all on him...although hes happy and doesnt mind...yes im going to need to upgrade to a 7 seater now aswell...Aww do you have all boys like me??...I wanted a girl so bad last time because i was determined it was my last...but here we are again...Lol and i honestly dont mind what it is...Having 3 boys already its lovely and what im used too...but i do see myself with a daughter...so we will see! :)

@twodogsandcounting...your midwife is right...but it doesnt help does it...and i feel like at this early stage health proffessionals arent really bothered or worried...its like what will be will be...So no point intervening...They dont think how much it upsets the woman and the worry not knowing causes...its still a baby to the mother carrying it...but at early stages to a doctor its a "pregnancy" im the same...i want the weeks to fly & this sickness to go...I worry the whole 9 months regardless...the sickness is just sending me into a hole :(

@My3boys9910 oh my gosh you've literally taken the words right out of my mouth, I said the same thing to my husband today. It feels like none of the health professionals want to know until you've gone past that first scan. In the mean time we just have to try and reassure ourselves that everything's ok.

Yesterday afternoon I was finally starting to feel a little excited but after last nights scare now I'm terrified of every single twinge or symptom. I feel like I'm back in the dreaded two week wait again!

Mrsbaker80 · 22/03/2019 07:15

Massive congrats Ameliel, my oldest will be 9 when baby number 3 comes along. He adores babies so hoping he’ll be a good help.
twodogsandcounting I’ve been having cramping and pain too. Hoping it’s just ligaments stretching.
Nausea has well and truley kicked in, even through the night too. Feel like I’ve been run over by a bus as my sleep is so disturbed. I
Work in a hospital, yesterday wasn’t fun as I literally smelt everything and everyone walking down the main corridor. Also not being able to tell anyone. Planning to let people know after 12 week scan xxx

twodogsandcounting · 22/03/2019 07:33

I must admit this forum is starting to make me feel a lot better about the cramping, I suffer with anxiety as it is so the hormones etc are not helping my paranoia. I've still not been sick yet but totally agree with you on nausea! I work as a dog groomer and the smell coming off some of my dogs is pretty hard to stomach right now haha

Ameliel · 22/03/2019 09:43

Thanks @MrsBaker80 and @My3boys9910.. that's reassuring. My children have been asking for little brother or sister for years, hopefully they'll be happy now!
I still have no symptoms at all apart from period not coming...have been sleeping badly but that's due to all the thoughts running around my head. In my last pregnancies I almost immediately went totally off coffee, nausea started quite early too. I really feel for you struggling with smells at the moment, I remember really struggling even when colleagues were having coffee next to me in the office! I can't wait until the early scan, hopefully that will relieve the worry! When are you ladies due? Have you had any scans yet? It's so hard not to be able to tell anyone yet!
I've ordered a photo frame with 4 apertures, I'm thinking of putting our dc's photos in the 3 first ones and a photo of the positive test and a baby grow, with something like "and our new adventure starts...arriving in November " in the last one.. and then wrapping it nicely and presenting to dh at private moment..

NutterPotter · 22/03/2019 12:02

Hi can I join got my bfp this morning. This is my first pregnancy and not sure what I should do next.

careynurse · 22/03/2019 12:14

@NutterPotter congrats! It's scary isn't it?! So I'm only newly pregnant- first baby! Due 24th Nov according to my last period....ring your GP and set up a midwives appointment (mine won't see me until around 8weeks) and then wait!....it's a long old wait!

NutterPotter · 22/03/2019 12:18

Hi @careynurse. I am due 27th according to my last period. Have called my gp and they said to self refer and wait for an appointment which I have done. Just feel like i should be doing some thing x

careynurse · 22/03/2019 12:26

@NutterPotter you try for a baby for all this time and then your pregnant ❤️ so happy....but we've decided not to spill to anyone if we can help it (apart from our parents) so with no one knowing and having to wait until appointment and scan it's back to normal mundane life! I feel a bit flat now 😳 roll on 12 week scan and I can openly talk about it! (We are however booking a private early scan at 9weeks to put our minds at ease- I have a few health issues)- but even that's 4 weeks away! 🤦🏻‍♀️

NutterPotter · 22/03/2019 19:13

I keep trying to convince dp we need an early scan but he wants to wait for the nhs one. Confused

My3boys9910 · 31/03/2019 17:51

Congrats newbies...hows everyone doing...X

PrayingandHoping · 31/03/2019 18:01

We were offered one for our optional 10 weeks scan when we had our 7 week scan at the ivf clinic. It's so much money though we decided no.... we are just having an extra regular scan at 10 weeks

Mrsbaker80 · 31/03/2019 20:35

Hey ladies, hope everyone is ok. Have my dating scan on Monday 29th April. Really struggling with nausea/vomiting mainly night time. I’m utterly exhausted all the time especially as I can’t sleep and have restless legs. I’ve been in work all weekend too, in bed most nights at 8 pm 😂xxx

My3boys9910 · 31/03/2019 21:31

Hey all! Im 5 weeks pregnant with my first baby! It seems to weird to say as I still cant quite believe it after ttc for 2.5 years. Is it normal to feel anxious and scared and not be able to admit it to myself? I am so worried about miscarriages etc. Ive never had a positive pregnancy test before! I can only speak to my husband about it as we are holding out on telling family and friends.

My3boys9910 · 05/04/2019 12:26

Congrats gemmilou....im sure all of that is very normal...it never feels real at first & the worrys are always there (for me anyway) x

Mrsbaker80 · 05/04/2019 19:07

How’s everyone doing?. Congrats Gemmilou 😘 Can’t believe I’m 9 weeks already. Still feeling anxious but aiming for my scan on the 29th. Will start telling everyone then😊.
My3boys9910 when’s your harmony test?. Are you feeling team pink or blue?. Xxx

Staceymado04 · 05/04/2019 20:50

I’m okay thanks hun. I think il be 9 weeks on Monday, got my scan letter today but it’s not till the 10th may 😳 ages away!! Im going for a private scan next Saturday to check all is okay and kind of see my weeks as that is soo frustrating not have any sort of idea. I’m becoming larger each day so it’s gonna be soo tough to hide for another 5 weeks. Suffering with horrendous headaches atm too. How are you?? xx
