Can I join in please? Got my BFP last week and am now approximately 5 weeks and 1 day. I've been getting sore boobs especially in the evenings and they seem a little fuller than usual, mild nausea, increased appetite and a few mild cramps on and off. Still can't actually believe it, don't think it'll seem real until I have a scan. I've been booked in for my first midwife appointment next Wednesday, not really sure what to expect!

Staceymado04 · 12/03/2019 12:30

@twodogsandcounting hey hun, congratulations to you! Is this your first pregnancy?? I am around. 4weeks ish and my symptoms sound just like yours. I’ve also been feeling extremely tired. I’ve actually just woke from a nap🤣. It also doesn’t feel real to me either and probs won’t till my 12 week scan. Xx

Staceymado04 · 12/03/2019 12:30

@Chanel05 congratulations hun xx

twodogsandcounting · 12/03/2019 12:31

Thank you, congratulations to you too! It is yeah, so everything is all very new to me. Omg yes the tiredness sucks I'm seriously struggling to stay awake at work haha!

Mrsbaker80 · 12/03/2019 14:03

Congratulations twodogsandcounting!!
I’m feeling so tired all the time too! Booked my first midwife appointment for the 25th. I telephoned the hospital to book the appointment and one of the first things the clerk said to me was are you planning on going ahead with the pregnancy????? Found it insensitive especially after having a recent miscarriage x

twodogsandcounting · 12/03/2019 15:11

@Mrsbaker80 no way?! That's awful! Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Some doctors surgeries can be so insensitive. Wishing you all the luck in the world for this baby!

Bettysparkles · 14/03/2019 12:53

I'm five and a bit weeks, due November 9th. We've been trying for two years so very excited but trying not to be just in case the worst happens. Does the risk of miscarriage go down week on week? I've got sore boobs and am feeling a bit weak and woozy at work today.

My3boys9910 · 18/03/2019 16:30

Congrats @Bettysparkles not sure on the misvarrige rates...But i think of you jist tell yourself anything can happen at any time along it makes the early weeks not feel as delicate (for me anyway) positive thoughts :)

twodogsandcounting · 18/03/2019 18:20

@My3boys9910 urgh I know the feeling! I've not actually been sick yet thank god but I feel nauseous for most of the day. My boobs hurt and I feel like I've got flu. My throat and the roof of my mouth have been so itchy the last few days it's actually kept me up at night. Plus the bloating is horrific!! 6 weeks in and so far I'm not a fan of pregnancy :(

My3boys9910 · 18/03/2019 18:41

Aw hun i feel you...ive got the itchy throat and back of the nose...i wish i could say being sick makes the nausea go but it doesnt...Im 8 weeks on friday...hoping this will ease off asap...X

Oh no, My3boys9910, I hope it's not around for too long! I've had no morning sickness yet, my sister has had two babies and never had it so I'm praying I'll dodge the bullet!

Staceymado04 · 19/03/2019 06:49

Aww @My3boys9910 I hope your sickness stops soon for you. I’ve had a little bit of nausea but it’s very random day to day, I didn’t get sickness with my first pregnancy so hoping I miss it this time too. I’ve had sore boobs on and off, some nights they hurt to lay on but then other nights they are fine. They have definitely grown in size tho (which to me is a mega plus as they’d gone to pancakes before lol). Bloating!! Wow!! I seem to wake in the morning quite flat and then as the day goes on I get bigger 🙈. I’m 6 weeks now. Xx

Mrsbaker80 · 19/03/2019 11:13

Hi ladies,
Having really bad insomnia at the moment. Mind can’t settle and I feel so restless. I was in work all weekend, feeling exhausted but so hard not saying anything to my colleague. I’m also nauseous come 5pm onwards. So different to my last pregnancies. Have my first midwife appointment Monday, still doesn’t feel real tbhx

careynurse · 19/03/2019 12:06

Hello ladies!

So I'm unsure on dates yet as had a 2 day light bleed as ?my last period ?implantation bleeding so we're going off 2 dates at present either 4weeks +5 or 7weeks +2.

Only symptoms I'm getting is a heavy feeling in my abdomen and pretty much feeling like my periods about to come! Abdomen also feels a bit harder. Needing to sit down a lot more but no sore breast or (gratefully) no nausea just yet! Is this normal?

Doctors ringing me tomorrow to help discuss a date and then il hopefully see a midwife soon!

I'm 30, TTC Baby #1 for 11 months and we're so excited! Just don't want to get carried away! 🤞🏻

So I thought I'd be feeling better after my first midwife appointment, instead I've plunged into anxiety hell.

After the blood tests I felt really faint, and then threw up when I got to my car. Then at 9.30pm last night I had cramps exactly as if I was coming on my period. There was no blood but I did notice the smallest amount of pink tinge on the toilet paper (I had to really squint to see it). Since then the period cramps have been coming and going. I rang the urgent maternity care line this morning as it was out of hours for my midwife and they said they couldn't help until I was 22 weeks at least, my midwife has said spotting can be normal and if it's consistent to call my gp as she can't refer me to the EPU herself and I can't get through to my gp.

There's been no spotting or blood since but I'm honestly so frightened I'm going to loose this baby!!! 😭

My3boys9910 · 21/03/2019 12:29

@Twodogsandcounting cramps are normal...for me anyway and ive been getting them all the way through...i know its so hard not to be scared...and its positive theres no more spotting...i think all will be ok...i really do.

Hi all, can I join you please? I got a very faint positive on 19th and figuring I'm 4+2 today...this is my 4th child, I have 2ds and 1dd, they are much older though, there will be almost 9years between this baby and my current youngest! (What am I doing???🙄) anyway I haven't told anyone yet in RL, not even dh...I'm quite nervous as I'm that much older now (42), worried about miscarriage and defects...I booked myself in early scan on 6+5, hopefully I'll see the heartbeat then. I'd like to do something different to reveal the news to dh, any ideas? We've been trying 7 months and I had pretty much given up, this was a real surprise!
Oh and I'm due on 27th Nov, so slightly behind you ladies. No symptoms whatsoever yet, not sure if I should be happy or worried? Last pregnancies I was sick as dog for most of it!
