Hi.
It’s 3am and I’ve woken up feeling wet, so I went to the toilet and there was a little blood in my knickers & when I’d finished and used toilet roll there was this amount of blood, I wiped again and there was a similar amount.
Last night around 7pm when I went for a wee there were thin lines of blood.
I’m 11 weeks pregnant.

Am I loosing my baby?
Any help would be appreciated. Sad

I had a really bad bleed at 17 weeks - so was a little further along than you - but it turned out to be my placenta which was / is covering my cervix. Have had a few bleeds since, most of them minor. This type of bleed can happen even earlier as well, I've been told.

It could be a miscarriage, but it could also be something else. According to my midwife, it is about 50/50 in case of red blood loss.

I hope you get to be seen as soon as possible! Tbh I think it's terrible they are making you wait so long - you must be so anxious. Flowers

💐 thinking of you. It’s such a stressful time I know. But don’t lose hope I didn’t realise how common bleeding can be and baby could still be fine in there. The fact you have no pain is a good sign xx

I bled abit more than that between 16 and 17 weeks, I went to A&E who referred me to epu who said they had no scans available, I got quite tearful and refused to leave until I was scanned, they saw me within 15 minutes and I'm now 26 and a half weeks pregnant with no problems, they assumed it may have been a burst vessel or something

Fingers are crossed for you

Still thinking of you OP, and hoping you get seen/scanned soon.

I have always had a lot of period type discomfort through mine, but eventually just got used to it as no bleeding started! Equally many bleed and do not lose either. Really hoping this is you. Resting up (as much as you can with a two yo!) might be helpful to reduce the bleeding if it's not impending mc. Try to take plenty of breaks with your feet up on sofa, play games on the sofa with DD etc.

@madeupmummylife - please let us know how you are when you can get to a computer/phone.

Hi everyone.

Sorry I didn’t manage to check back last night.
We went to the EPU through A&E yesterday.

After a long wait in the hospital we had a scan and discovered there was no baby. Just an empty sac.

Obviously I have to go and have another scan next week to confirm, but there’s been cramping and heavy blood loss since with lots of clots.

Thank you all for your support yesterday. Trying to stay positive and hopeful for any future pregnancy but still allowing myself to feel how I need too at this moment. Flowers

I am so sorry. Take as enough time off work as you physically and mentally need. You can self certify for 7 days but after that you will need and fit note. You should be able to arrange this with your GP any phone appointment and extensions of it by just speaking to the receptionist. Time off for ‘pregnancy related illnesses’ are protected and not considered the same as other illnesses in term of redundancies etc.

Sorry to hear :( I feel so sad on your behalf. Sending positive vibes your way.Flowers

Leafy2018 · 28/02/2019 16:43

So sorry to hear that. This happened to me too and it's a funny thing to grieve (or at least it felt that way to me) but you have to just feel what you feel. Make sure you have lots of chocolate, hot water bottles and painkillers to hand over the next few days. Take care of yourself x
