Hi.
It’s 3am and I’ve woken up feeling wet, so I went to the toilet and there was a little blood in my knickers & when I’d finished and used toilet roll there was this amount of blood, I wiped again and there was a similar amount.
Last night around 7pm when I went for a wee there were thin lines of blood.
I’m 11 weeks pregnant.

Am I loosing my baby?
Any help would be appreciated. Sad

So sorry OP it does appear so :(

Smotheroffive · 27/02/2019 03:27

Oh bless you. I do hope not Flowers

I think its a waiting game sadly. There's not much you can do. If you start getting pain, and not mild I mean, as well you'll know more.

I guess youre due your dating scan any day? Keep your appt to make sure all OK, or get it brought forward. Maybe you could go in in the morning?

VioletBedframe · 27/02/2019 03:28

It’s difficult to say at this stage. I did have bleeding during both my DCs pregnancies and turned out ok. See how things go over the next few hours. Call your midwife in the morning.

Smotheroffive · 27/02/2019 03:30

It can be other things too though, I meant to say. It is quite a lot of blood though. Normally I'd expect you to be in pain though if you were miscarrying

babybee2019 · 27/02/2019 03:35

I'm so sorry hun book in doc and tell the your bleeding they might refer you to the EPU ( early pregnancy unit? for a scan. I not long missed, but I had extream period like cramps if it help I could show you what I had. I was scared so took pics of everything.

Smotheroffive · 27/02/2019 03:37

Don't see doc, but you should have a number for scan, or MW will.

Dreamzcancometrue · 27/02/2019 03:39

Sorry, it looks like it. But I could be wrong. Sending ((hugs))

madeupmummylife · 27/02/2019 04:08

Thank you all for getting back to me.

My scan is a week Thursday so I’m not sure I can wait that long.

I’m going to call the midwife unit in the morning to see if they can offer a scan sooner.

I’m not really in any pain, slight dull ache but it isn’t intense at all and it comes and goes.

Be keeping everything crossed for you. Hope you can try to get some sleep, and let us know how you are getting on.

ValleyoftheHorses · 27/02/2019 04:44

You could be but I bled more than that with my son, lots of times. You need a scan ASAP.
Fingers crossed.Flowers

Prequelle · 27/02/2019 07:29

How far along are you OP? I'm a gynae-surg nurse and have seen women bleed like this without it being pregnancy loss. I hope you get answers quickly.

Jackshouse · 27/02/2019 07:49

I have had one MC, my now toddler, one MC and I’m now 18 weeks pregnant.

That bleeding looks like the bleeding I had when I was pregnant with my 2 year old.

Ring the emergency numbers on the front of your maternity notes.

Namechangeok · 27/02/2019 08:04

I did bleed with my eldest on one occasion and it turned out to be fine. But the stomach ache that comes and goes is unfortunately not a good sign. I really really hope everything turns out well for you. Go to the doctors, they should refer you for a scan quickly.

madeupmummylife · 27/02/2019 08:28

Thank you all.

I’ll be 12 weeks on Friday, so just as I thought I was getting out of the scary time!

TMI again, but... The pain could also be constipation if I’m honest, I’ve not been for a good few days and the pain isn’t really that noticeable. (Not that unusual for me to only go a few times a week - but this is longer than usual)

I’ll let you know how it goes. Been on the phone to out of hours midwife who said she can’t do anything, to then call out of hours GP to be told she can’t do anything and to make an appointment with my GP. So I’ve got an appointment for 10:10 this morning where hopefully she’ll pass me over to the pregnancy unit to go and get a scan done to get some answers today. If they can’t give me answers today I’ve found a place not too far from me that will do the scan for £80.

I feel very lucky that in my area we have an EPU that you can self refer to, as well as an emergency gynae drop in clinic (which I work on as it's attached to my ward). Is there nothing at all in your area OP?

Bear in mind OP that those who scan for money usually ring units like us if they don't hear a foetal heartbeat and are extremely reluctant to say anything if anything seems untoward.

I'm so hoping everything is okay for you.

Contraceptionismyfriend · 27/02/2019 09:36

I am sorry OP.
But I am 21 weeks now and have had bleeding throughout. The first one was when I was a bit earlier than you and it was so much. Like the heaviest day of my ridiculously heavy period. I've since had two smaller bleeds and they've not been able to see where it's coming from.

sunshinegirl12 · 27/02/2019 09:57

I’m 14 weeks now, I have had so much bleeding off and on since week 10, as I have a subchorionic hematoma. Definitely get scanned asap, even if it is private. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

Mmmhmmokdear · 27/02/2019 10:06

Good luck OP.

Bluebell9 · 27/02/2019 10:13

Hope everything is ok OP.

Fingers crossed for you

Squiff70 · 27/02/2019 11:17

Really hoping you and baby are okay x

Good luck 🤞🏼Flowers

madeupmummylife · 27/02/2019 11:56

Honestly, thank you all so much for your well wishes.

Our EPU has said the soonest they can scan us is over 48 hours away - not sure I can wait that long without knowing what to expect. If it going to end in miscarriage which is what I’m thinking but hoping not, then I want to know what is coming in the next couple of days for us.

There’s quite a few EPU unit so I may call a couple and see if they will see me today if I say I’m in the area. Horrible lie I know but I need to get seen and if private is going to be sugar coated I’d rather not bother get my hopes up for nothing.

The bleeding has continued at the same level, but I’ve still not got any intense constant pain - just tiny little niggles every now and then but nothing I’d be concerned about on a normal day.

I have a 2 year old, so obviously I cannot keep crying in front of her it isn’t fair.

if you have a private scan they will be able to atleast give you the reassurance of seeing a heartbeat etc, if you are already thinking the worst anyway. My EPU were the same, with every bleed wanted me to wait days for a scan which I just couldnt do. Although the private clinic couldnt give me a reason for the bleeding, I was then able to find a local private clinic where the scan was actually done by a consultant. Maybe have a look in your area for a private obstetrician who can scan you today. xx

xJune88 · 27/02/2019 12:24

Could go either way, hope you are ok. I bled like that with clots from 9 weeks-16 weeks I had a extra chrononic hemorrage attached to sac. I'm now 29 weeks and all is well. I would go to epu or ring a private place (I've been to both many times) you just need to know either way. Fingers tightly crossed for you no pain is good xx
