I need some pregnancy buddies. It's so hard because no one know I'm pregnant yet except my husband and our parents.
Not sure if I'm 4 or 8 weeks, waiting for an appointment and scan to figure that one out!
But either way, I need preggo friends!
Anyone wanna chat on here?

@PastaSauceHoarder I’m 7 + 6 based on lmp, and measured 7+4 on the scan yesterday so that was encouraging! How are you doing?

PastaSauceHoarder · 16/02/2019 17:04

Sounds good, @Littlehouseinthebigcity! Smile
I'm alright thank you, 10 weeks exactly today. I have a private scan tomorrow afternoon but I'm really anxious. Desperate for everything to be okay.

YorkshireIndie · 16/02/2019 17:32

Can I join? 6+2 weeks. Found out this week (well my period was late and I waited a whole week before testing). Feeling slightly nauseous today but my only symptoms are slight cramping and sore breasts. Getting slightly concerned about lack of symptoms

CraazyCatLady · 16/02/2019 17:33

@Littlehouseinthebigcity that's great news your scan was all ok. Not nice you had the worry in the first place though.
@PastaSauceHoarder good luck tomorrow, I'm sure it'll all be ok. Will you get a copy of the scan pic? You'll have to let us see.
I'm doing ok in Sri Lanka. Been walking or cycling between 8-15+ kl most days. Little bit tired but not too bad. Feeling a little queazy throughout the day, but not too bad yet. I'm finding I feel the cold a bit more than normal.

PastaSauceHoarder · 16/02/2019 17:42

Not put off the curries then, @CraazyCatLady? Wink Glad to hear you're not feeling too bad! Sounds like you're having a good time.

Yes I should get some pictures, its with the same clinic that I went to twice when pregnant with my toddler and I got two big glossy photos and a CD with images on last time. Smile Thank you for the positivity, this time tomorrow I'll know if my little baby is okay. 🤞🏻

I had those same symptoms at 6 weeks @YorkshireIndie, they got worse when I hit 7! I worried too at the time but the symptoms definitely progressed as the weeks went by. Smile Hope that makes you feel a little better.

YorkshireIndie · 16/02/2019 18:35

Thanks Pasta. It feels really odd this period in time. A inbetweeeny stage

Hunkyd0ry · 16/02/2019 22:11

Hi!
Can I join in too?
I’m nearly 9 weeks with #2. DD is 2. We had 2 early scans due to a bleed which was scary but nice to know all is well. We’ve told my parents, a friend and a colleague. My friend was amazing with the news of the bleed I’ve felt so supported having her.

Can’t wait to tell DD though. A few friends have had babies and she’s been amazing with them.

Hope everything keeps going smoothly for all.

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 17/02/2019 07:12

Hope all goes well today @PastaSauceHoarder! X

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 17/02/2019 07:14

And welcome @Hunkyd0ry and Congratulations :) We’ve told a few people too - my dd is only 18 months so wouldn’t understand but hopefully she’ll love being a big sister! Your dd sounds great!

PastaSauceHoarder · 17/02/2019 09:10

Thank you @Littlehouseinthebigcity, the scan is at 12. Earliest appointment I could get. I feel so sick with nerves. Sad

JRMisOdious · 17/02/2019 09:11

No - but congratulations to you all!

CraazyCatLady · 17/02/2019 12:47

@PastaSauceHoarder luckily not gone off anything yet. Although last time I was eating Sri Lankan breakfast (which was curry too) but I can't face it in the morning. Been having a tiny bit of toast and fruit, as feel most sickly at that time. I'm surprised to read that most people have to pee more often and I'm not feeling like that yet. In fact I only feel a little queasy and have sore boobs. No other symptoms.
Hope your scan's gone well x

PastaSauceHoarder · 17/02/2019 13:18

My baby is absolutely fine!! ❤❤

Measuring a week behind but she said that was because it was curled up into a little ball and she couldn't measure accurately. But there was a lovely little heartbeat pumping away! Smile
Still going to go by original dates though until they can tell me for sure at the 12 week scan. I was so relieved I cried when I was in there!

Babycakes1989 · 17/02/2019 13:38

Congratulations great news! I’m currently 8 weeks 4 days and no sickness/ nausea. Just extreme hunger, extreme tiredness. I don’t think I can wait until the 12 week scan as that’s how I found out my bad news with last pg so made decision to have a private scan next weekend because I’m worried about my lack of symptoms xx

CraazyCatLady · 17/02/2019 13:59

Aw congratulations @PastaSauceHoarder so pleased all is well. Lovely little pic. Smile

@Babycakes1989 I'm sure all will be good with you too. I saw on another thread there are lots of people with no symptoms. I know it's hard not to worry though.

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 17/02/2019 15:08

Yay @PastaSauceHoarder! You must be so happy and relieved :)

PastaSauceHoarder · 18/02/2019 13:04

Thank you all, I am so relieved. Smile Only 15 days until I get to see my little one again! Plus I'll know the due date as well which is exciting.

How is everyone else today? @Babycakes1989 extreme tiredness is a great symptom so don't worry (though I know its easier said than done)!

melissa1215 · 18/02/2019 13:32

@KezP I'm 6 weeks 4 days, lonnnng way to go haha

NeverHadANickname · 18/02/2019 13:40

Hi everyone. Can I join this please? I have been looking for somewhere I can complain 🙈 I have wanted to be pregnant for so long and now I am I feel TERRIBLE. Feel sick constantly and in the last week have started being sick regularly, even when I have nothing in my stomach. I am so drained. I am lucky in that I am currently unable to work and DH is very good at keeping on top of everything and making sure I eat sometimes. I don't know how other people manage, I really don't.

Great to see your scan picture @PastaSauceHoarder 😊

PastaSauceHoarder · 18/02/2019 13:54

Hi @NeverHadANickname!! Smile
Sounds like you're having it really rough at the moment. Flowers How far along are you now?

My sickness seems to have kicked in far worse this week. I wish I could remember when it disappeared when I was pregnant with my toddler but I can't - just felt like it went on forever!

NeverHadANickname · 18/02/2019 14:00

@PastaSauceHoarder I am 7+5. Week 5 was just cramping, 6 was just feeling sick which I struggled with but could control to a point with eating crackers and drinking ice water. Now the proper sickness has kicked in and it's just all too much. DH keeps telling me he has read that it should stop around 12 weeks. Well that's all well and good but that's still 5 weeks away! I'm just feeling sorry for myself. You'd think by now they'd have found something that helps with sickness that pregnant people can take.

CatSmize · 18/02/2019 16:17

@NeverHadANickname Get thee to the pharmacy for some anti-sickness pills! I got some on my first day of sickness after hugging the toilet bowl while getting ready for work and haven't been sick once. The nausea is still hideous some days (weeks 6 and 8 were the absolute worst. I couldn't even get out of bed). I'm currently off work at 9w because I'm self-employed and it's so unpredictable that I hated flaking on clients last minute so preferred to go on unpaid sick leave for two weeks until I'm (hopefully) over the worst.

Anti-emetics are perfectly safe in pregnancy, I'm amazed by how many poor women suffer so much with constant throwing up when there is something out there that could help with at least that aspect.

My feeling terrible has been very up and down where some days I can't even work and others I feel nearly normal. Don't think that you'll necessarily still feel so awful next week or even tomorrow. Keep hold of that hope! I agree with you though that I don't know how other people manage on their worst days!

NeverHadANickname · 18/02/2019 16:29

Thanks @CatSmize I'll go to the pharmacy when I feel I can leave the house. Today is definitely a feeling sorry for myself day and I'm sure it will get better. I don't know what I'd do without Mumsnet sometimes.

brandyberry · 18/02/2019 18:22

Hi ladies :) I think I’m 6+3 with my first. Definitely a surprise - we were planning on TTC in a year’s time. Husband is v.excited but I’m finding things a little difficult at the moment as I’ve had constant nausea since 6+0 and the thought of at least another 6 weeks of this is hard to stomach (pun intended).

This afternoon I sobbed because as I was feeling awful I thought “I didn’t even ask for this!” and immediately felt like the worst person in the world. I know we’re incredibly lucky for this to just happen! I hope some of you understand x

YorkshireIndie · 18/02/2019 19:00

Is anyone else really hungry? Spent the day eating anything that wasn't nailed down
