I need some pregnancy buddies. It's so hard because no one know I'm pregnant yet except my husband and our parents.
Not sure if I'm 4 or 8 weeks, waiting for an appointment and scan to figure that one out!
But either way, I need preggo friends!
Anyone wanna chat on here?

Lisalou88 · 06/02/2019 12:11

@BettyWoo yes thankfully the EPU said they would give me an early scan after my last miscarriages, I would like to wait until around 8 weeks though as last time I had a scan at 7 weeks last time & saw a heartbeat & then miscarried a few days later but not sure I can wait till 8 weeks without knowing everything is ok😩

BettyWoo · 06/02/2019 14:48

@LisaLou88 waiting is so horrible. We forget when we're trying that the stress doesn't stop with a positive result, it just moves to a different focus! Sending you hugs and good wishes and looking forward to hearing everything is good when that scan is done Flowers

PastaSauceHoarder · 06/02/2019 21:08

Congratulations @Lisalou88, sorry to hear about your previous losses. Flowers You're right though, cramping IS totally normal at five weeks and as long as it isn't painful it should be fine! Smile Probably just the little one getting itself all comfy.

That sounds lovely @BettyWoo, I bet you're so excited to tell them!!
Urgh you're so right, you just don't stop stressing do you! As the weeks go on I'm feeling a bit more calm but then I'll just have the odd day where I'm anxious and worried and can't stop feeling like theres something wrong.

RoryLeighGilmore · 06/02/2019 21:13

I'm 8 weeks with my second. Having an 8 week scan for (hopefully) some reassurance before the 12 week one. Did the same with our first and it was nice to see a speck and hear the heartbeat.

We haven't told anyone including parents yet so even though I'm way less self-absorbed about this pregnancy than the first (because my time is absorbed by a toddler!) I'm still finding it hard to feel so crap and not be able to tell anyone!

BettyWoo · 06/02/2019 21:22

@PastaSauceHoarder absolutely. I'm not going to relax until I've seen a wriggly baby on that scan and maybe not even then! I think when we're showing properly, maybe we'll feel better.

BettyWoo · 06/02/2019 21:24

@RoryLeighGilmore I think we're all in the same boat! In about four weeks this thread should be full of relieved women who have happily made their announcements Smile

PastaSauceHoarder · 06/02/2019 21:33

I hope so @BettyWoo, I want to see all these lovely healthy scan pictures rolling in!

I'm going to book one for when I reckon I'm about 9+6 weeks, which is next Friday. I'm so nervous. Sad

How old is your toddler, @RoryLeighGilmore? Smile I have a 20 month old and these early weeks of pregnancy are hard work!!

rebecklet · 06/02/2019 22:08

@CraazyCatLady - sounds familiar, I will be 35 this year and also haven't really had any symptoms (I am just over 4 weeks) and this is our first.

Other than my dh I haven't told anyone yet - it doesn't quite feel real. As I am approaching 35 and dh is over 40 we thought we might have trouble ttc, but we got our bfp in the first month, which means I haven't really had time to get used to it (not that I am complaining at all, I know how hard it can be and it is very early days for us).

CraazyCatLady · 07/02/2019 06:09

Thanks all, not really had time to get on here much. I work 11 hour shifts and have been trying to get ready for holiday. Won't be home til 8pm again today and have so much left to do (like packing and everything) and very little time. I've been feeling quite bloated these last couple of days, I also don't have much of an appetite, so not really been eating much. I now also wake up really early and can't go back to sleep. I only slept 5.5 hours last night! So weird as I can normally sleep for England.
@umck2014 I really hope I'm not too tired too. What was it like for you? Were you on a relaxing holiday?
@PastaSauceHoarder I'm really hoping I don't go off all the good food too. I lived on curry last time I went. I occasionally feel a little sickly, but not gone off anything yet. I've noticed that my nose is very sensitive now though. I can smell everything a mile off! You must be excited about your scan! Do you have to pay for a private one?
@rebecklet congratulations, it is a similar story. You're so lucky you didn't have to try much. My sister is almost 40 and get pg in the first month too. I was so envious.
I feel like it's not really real either.

RoryLeighGilmore · 07/02/2019 07:18

@BettyWoo yes I really hope so!

@PastaSauceHoarder 18 months so very similar to you! My god it's exhausting isn't it, I remember being completely shattered first time but it's something else dealing with a toddler on top. How are you feeling in general?

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 07/02/2019 09:15

@RoryLeighGilmore (Love your username by the way!) - another one here with an 18 month old. I’m with you on just not fully appreciating how horrible nausea and tiredness would be on top of looking after a toddler. Who is under the weather at the moment and has given me her cold 🙈 I’m not quite 7 weeks so a little behind some of you!

@Littlehouseinthebigcity thanks! I'm the same, had never ending colds for the past month and I'm sure pregnancy has lowered my immune system. Beyond exhausting being pregnant and ill and running round after a crazy small person! Hope you get some rest this weekend.

PastaSauceHoarder · 07/02/2019 19:52

Yes I'm going to pay for a private one @CraazyCatLady, they're reasonably priced near me and I'm making my head hurt with worry so I may as well get one done. I was excited but today I started thinking about all the things that could go wrong. Sad Hate being so worried.

Ah my toddler is full of cold at the moment too @Littlehouseinthebigcity, its hard work isn't it!! I'm so tired and sick all of the time too, DD has been sat in front of Paw Patrol most mornings lately... Don't think she minds though. Grin

Anyone else starting to show?! I showed my mum my little bump today and she said I'll have difficulty hiding it for much longer! Shock

Jellybaby13 · 07/02/2019 20:34

Hey! I'm 7+5 weeks pregnant with my first! Like some of you I don't 'feel' pregnant. If it wasn't for the unbearable nausea and massive appetite I'd be doubting it! Haven't told anyone yet, husband and I agreed to tell parents after the 12 week dating scan and then filter down from there - it's a little lonely when you need advice so I joined here Smile

missrose0110 · 07/02/2019 21:51

Hi all, can I join?

My stats
Age 23
Ttc baby #1
Mmc in October at 12 weeks.

According to my dates I'll be due around 7th October. These early weeks are so nerve wracking xx

PastaSauceHoarder · 07/02/2019 22:00

Sorry to hear about your mmc @missrose0110, congratulations on your new pregnancy. Flowers

Good idea about the stats! Smile Here's mine:

Age 23
Pregnant with baby #2
Have a 20 month old DD
Due date around 14th Sept

missrose0110 · 07/02/2019 22:02

@PastaSauceHoarder thank you. I've just realised I put ttc in my stats haha face palm what I meant to put it "pregnant with" still doesn't feel real and don't want to get too excited just yet x

PastaSauceHoarder · 07/02/2019 22:09

I know what you mean @missrose0110, it is nerve-wracking. Sad I'm also trying not to get excited but I was stupidly looking at the baby name threads before without really even realising it - can't believe I got carried away, even for just a minute! Blush

missrose0110 · 07/02/2019 22:15

@PastaSauceHoarder I know what you mean. I've got some names in mind that I like already, just wish the next six weeks would go by already. How far along are you? X

PastaSauceHoarder · 07/02/2019 22:22

8+5 days for me today, @missrose0110! The further along I get the quicker the days seem to be going, if that makes any sense?

How many weeks are you? Have you got any symptoms yet? Smile

missrose0110 · 07/02/2019 22:24

I'm 5+3 today. I have a few things, sore boobs, lots of cramping last week and needing the toilet in the night. But nothing major. How about you? Have you had your booking in yet? X

umck2014 · 09/02/2019 16:33

CraazyCatLady I haven’t been here much either. Hubby was working nights this week so I’m feeling shattered by the time toddler goes to bed. Enjoy your holiday! When I was pregnant with my first, we went back to Ireland (where DH’s from) for 2 weeks and Amsterdam for 1 week. I remember I was sooooo tired during my first trimester. I was dragging at work after lunch time because I felt like I had to have a nap to carry on my day! So it was nice to be able to have a nap everyday on my holiday.

I don’t feel so sleepy (yet?) with this pregnancy. But my boobs are so sore! I think each pregnancy do feel different. And I have cravings for junk food! 🙈 this’d better stop soon! Haha.

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 16/02/2019 15:40

How is everyone doing? We had a bit of a scare this week with some spotting (mc in Oct so feel very anxious) but had a scan on Friday and all is looking well! Now back to feeling very sick and tired, but relieved.

PastaSauceHoarder · 16/02/2019 16:00

Glad to hear all is well @Littlehouseinthebigcity, that must have been very frightening! Must have been lovely to see a healthy scan. Smile How many weeks are you now?
