4.8mm NT result at first scan

Hi all,

I had my 12 week scan yesterday and it showed I was further along which was great. So 13 weeks tomorrow. But when they did the scan they found the fluid at the back of the baby's neck to be measuring 4.8mm. I got offered a screening test so I accepted. Today I had my blood results and it came back high risk with a chance of Down’s, Edwards and Patau.

So me and my husband decided to opt for the CVS testing for an accurate result. I now have an appointment Monday morning at 9am to get this done. Scared yes but I know it needs to be done.

Has anyone else had anything like this and what was the outcome like? We have a daughter already who's healthy no issues.
I'm just feeling drained and my positivity is disappearing.

Thank you

Just checking in & keeping everything crossed for you Cake

@FleeBee thank you, that's kind. I'm feeling better today even though I know we have a few more hurdles to over come.

You can definitely say now you don't get 2 pregnancies the same.

My first was so plain sailing right up to the birth, this one feels like a test, a scary one.
