AIBU at feeling upset for being bump-shamed at Xmas dinner?

I don't want to be a total snowflake, but I am feeling so sad/upset right now. I kept very active for the first trimester (trained for and ran a half marathon at 13 weeks!), then kept on going to the gym in the second trimester. True, on our babymoon to Belgium (end of 2nd trimester) I ate loads, and I might have had too many mince pies lately, but it's Christmas damn! So I was totally taken aback when both my mother and MIL kind of ganged up bump-shaming me on Xmas day. Mother: - Oh I looked like that when I was 9 months! - MIL: - Oh yes, I hadn't seen her for 2 weeks, I left her slim and found her back so fat! - (she actually said fat). I am only 5'1 and realistically there is no where for bump to go but out. Should I be concerned about my size? Already feeling quite down as I spent 3 days in hospital for a blood clot and having injections twice a day.... SadSad

Enjoy your pregnancy OP. People can’t fucking help themselves. I’m short and have put on just under a stone at 29 weeks, my dad was wide eyed at my bump yesterday and asked if I was sure there was only one in there. I love my dad but replied with a look that it was a hilarious comment and even funnier because he’s the first person to ask me that Hmm (happens about 3 times a week as my husband has twins).

I had some idiot of a checkout lady making comments about me to another supermarket girl. The young girl had said something like could she help as I was clearly pregnant and the older one said "she is massive isn't she. She looks like she would be fat even if she wasn't pregnant though". I was so shocked I did nothing. I was massive though with both my pregnancies. Weak stomach muscles.

Try and ignore them. I look whale like but I have a short torso so there is no where else for it to go and my fundal height measurement is perfect. I’ve had comments from relatives about packing on the weight. I just roll my eyes now and say yes that’s what happens when you’re pregnant. You must be very fit and active if you manage to carry on running through your first trimester so I’m sure you have nothing to worry about.
