2 x MMC 8-9 weeks, pregnant again and terrified

I have had two missed miscarriages and I am now pregnant for 3rd time and really worried it will happen again!
My first MMC was at 12 weeks - stopped developing between 8-9 weeks (after seeing HB at 8 weeks)
Second one was MMC detected at 10 weeks, stopped developing at 9 weeks.
I am now 6 weeks pregnant but terrified of having the same outcome given the similarites of my previous losses. Only difference for this pregnancy is that I’ve been on progesterone since BFP but I’m not feeling very optimistic. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Thought I’d check the thread to see how everyone was doing? Thanks for the message @moomin11 - how are you? Hope everyone has made some progress and is coping well.
I feel exceptionally lucky, and never thought I’d be writing this, but I am currently 36.5 weeks pregnant. Aside from a couple of scares with spotting early on the pregnancy has been physically fairly straight forward so far. Emotionally it’s been challenging trying to cope with the anxiety but starting to relax just a little bit now.
Keeping my fingers crossed for other positive stories!

Hi @SR00 I'm so pleased your pregnancy has gone smoothly, that is such lovely news Grin unfortunately things didn't go well for me back in December but when I posted that message I was pregnant again already. Sadly that didn't work out either. I am doing ok though, mostly! I know how anxious pregnancy can be when you've had previous losses so I can imagine it's not been the easiest time for you but it's lovely to hear a positive outcome and it gives hope to a lot of people going through similar Flowers

I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had to go through it all again @moomin11. I can’t imagine how you must be feeling. I hope you are getting plenty of support and medical follow up with everything you are going through!

Thank you, I had a really difficult time after the December loss and it took me a while to get back on my feet. I didn't expect to fall pregnant again so soon so that was a shock but to go through another loss so soon too has been hard. Believe it or not despite having 4 miscarriages and an ectopic I'm not eligible for investigations at my local hospital (as I had my daughter in the middle) but there is one in London that said I meet their criteria. So that's an option I guess, it's all a bit soon really. We're taking our daughter on a very special holiday in 5 more sleeps (she is counting them Grin) so I'm really looking forward to that!

I promised myself that if I ever got to this point I would update the thread for anyone searching in the future and I hope my experience provides some hope for other couples going through the trauma of miscarriage. We feel truly blessed to be able to say that we welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world last week. It has been a long and painful road but we got there in the end and I hope our story provides some hope for others still suffering. I’m so sorry to see that people on the thread are still struggling but will be keeping everything crossed that it will work out for you in the end and all the heartache will be worth it!
