Curious really- I'm due at the beginning of Jan and will be visiting relatives for Christmas when I'll be 38 weeks. It wouldn't be a disaster if I went into labour when I was away, I'd just have to go to the local hospital and I'm guessing this must happen fairly frequently? But would love to know how far along people were when they had their first!

30+4, I was in Cornwall on my honeymoon from South Wales, ended up being an extended honeymoon! I didn't have my notes or anything with me as it was completely out of the blue. Take your notes with you lol

41+3 but it was a c section after I'd called and cried about being so uncomfortable. When they put the monitors on me to start an induction, they realised he was in serious trouble and whipped him out.

I was fully gestated plus several decades .
Did you mean to ask how far gestated my firstborn was?

KiwiFroot · 02/11/2018 12:45

@MargaretRiver Several decades? Sounds like a miracle!

40+10 1st baby
40+14 2nd baby

Second babies don't always come earlier than the first as I found out!

38w

I would have been much too uncomfortable to travel that far for the last few weeks too and refused to do long car journeys.

I will be 38 weeks at Christmas too (with dc4) and am refusing to travel anywhere. Everyone can come here instead.

42+2, and he was only born then because the midwives evicted him.

Although this is unlikely it may be worth considering what you would do if you or baby needed to stay in hospital for a while after birth. Would you and your DH/DP be able to stay a little longer with friends or relatives?

A new baby at Christmas will be so lovely. Good luck.

BareBelliedSneetch · 02/11/2018 16:47

37 weeks. Was a bit surprised as everyone said you’ll go overdue with your first. So it felt about a month early!

And I hadn’t packed a bag!

Panicmode1 · 02/11/2018 16:50

My first was a due date baby, second due date minus one, third due date plus one. Fourth was a total shock at 38 weeks!!

CocoLoco87 · 02/11/2018 17:13

41 + 4
