Test lines too far apart?

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 07:13

These are the tests i showed a friend who thought the lines look too far apart, i know how bad it sounds but i'm hoping someone will tell me these are negative as i am not ready for this yet

The photo didn't load but if you have more than one test with a second line then it's unlikely that they would all be faulty.

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 07:17

Oh right will try and repost now and yeah that's what i thought too

I don't think i have been a member on here for long enough

You can purchase tests which have a separate window for the test result (Clearblue Early Detection) so there can be no confusion.

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 07:30

I did and got a positive result then the 3 i took are first response ones

The lines are where they are supposed to be, if there's a line you are pregnant

FoofFighter · 23/10/2018 07:32

What I mean is the line spacing is determined by the makers to show up there, it can't move around

TinyMarie · 23/10/2018 07:34

Oh then in that case, I would just assume you are pregnant. Sorry this isn't the result that you want but you could book an appointment with BPAS who can offer you some advice/counselling before making a definitive decision about what you want to do.

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 07:36

Oh right my friend said the dye might have moved to make a line or something like that but yeah looks like i am

Didn't you post this yesterday? The consensus was that thaws were the right distance yesterday. You are pregnant. Sorry.

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 07:39

Yeah but wanted to show the pictures but forgot it won't upload yet because I'm new here

Sometimes a test can flood and be deemed as inaccurate but if you've had 3 with a line plus a Clearblue then I would take the results as positive and start thinking about what you want to do next.

Snitzelvoncrumb · 23/10/2018 07:41

Op do you have lots of them, and want to see what a positive test looks like in that particular brand?

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 07:42

I have 3 of the first response and one of the clearblue (not digital)

OP posts:
Snitzelvoncrumb · 23/10/2018 07:45

If you dip one in coke, you will get a positive result. Then you should be able to compare them.

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 07:46

I'm unsure what that means? I guess if you can get a positive result from coke then you can with normal urine too I don't really understand sorry?

TinyMarie · 23/10/2018 07:50

4 tests have picked up the pregnancy hormone enough to show you 4 positives. You are pregnant.

Snitzelvoncrumb · 23/10/2018 07:50

I just thought it might help to see a positive result, next to yours to help you see if it's positive.

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 07:56

Oh right okay will have to try that next time i get paid as I have no tests left and it looks that way but who knows?

OP posts:
5tarlight · 23/10/2018 08:55

I saw your post yesterday. Please don't delay and waste your money on another test with coke(!), with several positive tests I am afraid this this is pretty conclusive. If you have 2 pink lines on the first response test it doesn't matter how far apart they are. I'm sorry this is not what you want to hear. But if you think this may not be something you want, the best thing is to talk to someone about your options now. The longer you wait the harder that becomes. Book a gp appointment, or find a local service that can help you consider what next, perhaps try this nhs link to find something local. www.nhs.uk/Service-Search/Unwanted%20pregnancy/LocationSearch/1801
I know it's scary but it's best to take action. Good luck with whatever you decide, and either way it can work out ok.

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 09:33

It might be negative though the lines look pinkish/brownish? And i dismantled the test (after seeing two lines) so surely I can't be?

OP posts:
TinyMarie · 23/10/2018 09:41

Surely though you realise the odds of having 4 faulty tests is highly unlikely?

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 09:54

Yeah but the fact I dismantled the tests after seeing both lines and they were pink/brown lines

OP posts:
Fruitcake13 · 23/10/2018 09:57

You could try the clear blue tests that say pregnant or not pregnant. No mistaking then.
Good luck!

Can I ask have you posted previously under several names? Appoligises if not but I'd be able to understand your situation from previous posts more if you are.

You sound very very panicked by your previous posts (under this name) and I can completely sympathise and understand. I think we spoke the other day, and the best thing for you to do to settle your mind would be to physically go and see a GP, book and appointment and demand you get seen and spoken to properly. I understand you have concerns about your options too. The GP will be able to cover any concerns you have and point you in the right direction.
I won't tell you not to panic because it's not that simple but the best thing to do for now is be proactive and speak to a medical professional.
