Test lines too far apart?

These are the tests i showed a friend who thought the lines look too far apart, i know how bad it sounds but i'm hoping someone will tell me these are negative as i am not ready for this yet

No i haven't had any other accounts only this one which i made yesterday and i would but my doctor won't see me until November i need to be 8-10 weeks before they will give an apppintment with a midwife i asked if there was anyone i could see in the meantime they said it can't just be any doctor that deals with it it has to be a midwife and they won't see me until November which personally i think is a waste of time because my doctors won't do confirmation tests they go by the results you've been given so there's not much point me turning up in November and wasting a midwife's time when she could be seeing people that are actually pregnant. I'm just not in an ideal situation to have a child right now

If you booked an appointment with BPAS then they would be able to confirm the pregnancy with a scan and also discuss options with you and offer support.

Have you concidered going to your local sexual health or GUM clinic? I know a few people that have been there and they have been amazing with them.

From what you have said you most likely are pregnant, don't worry about the midwife appointment as such. Most midwives are absolutely lovely, and they will help you so much. If you have any concerns they will definitely test your HCG levels.
Do you have the contact number for the community midwife? If not you should be able to find it on your local NHS sections. They may be able to give you some advice over the phone before your appointment. They will deal with situations like this more than it's known so don't feel you can not reach out to them..it's what they are there for in a sense

What is BPAS?

No i don't have the contact number and couldn't contact them anyway as i have no credit (I'm only able to be online because of Wi-Fi at home) and i have asked at my local sexual health clinic too but they advised that i didn't go in because they used to do pregnancy blood tests but could only do a strip test and see it as pointless me coming in to take another test when i could do it at home (their words not mine)

Could you ask a friend or a family member to borrow their phone? If not the only thing you can do is wait until you see your midwife.

If you can borrow a phone, search the community midwives in your area and you should be able to find a contact number. I'm really surprised they didn't give you one when you had your appointment booked as they gave me 3!
Your area could also have support groups/sites for young people. Which I would look into. It does sound like you really need some sound advice and reasurance sooner rather than later.

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 10:20

Yeah I'll check it out but i don't think i will call because if i use someone else's phone they will know who I'm ringing and i don't want to stress anyone out until i know for sure

They are the British Pregnancy Advisory Service. If you have WiFi then you can google them. They do offer terminations but before that they would talk to you about how you feel and what you really want. If you don't wish to be pregnant but wait until seeing the midwife to tell anyone then they would only refer you to a similar place anyway by which point you would be further along.

Lilbear14 · 23/10/2018 10:22

Yes defo have a good search online. Every area is different so your area might have other things that mine doesn't. Wish you all the best though!

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 10:23

Thank you i appreciate it :)

Do they only do abortions or is it scans too?

OP posts:
TinyMarie · 23/10/2018 10:29

I think all women have to be scanned beforehand as they have to confirm the pregnancy and how far along you are to determine which course of action is appropriate.

Lilbear14 · 23/10/2018 10:30

From experience, they do scan you before a termination to determine how far along you are and what termination process you will need. However, they will not let you see the scan if you chose to have a termination. I have had two and never seen an image of the scan.

I'm not sure if they will do a scan otherwise tbh.

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 10:31

But surely if they wanted to do a scan they would want to see me as soon as possible? I just looked on the NHS website and it says midwifes would want to see you as soon as possible but nope not here..mine wants to leave me waiting until November

I had to wait until I was 7 weeks to be seen by a midwife, some areas are even later than that and women are looking at a 10-11 week appointment. But I think I was seen quite early due to a condition and they wanted to have a chat about it.

TinyMarie · 23/10/2018 10:33

If you are pregnant and want to be then it's standard procedure to have a booking appointment at around 8 weeks with blood tests etc. and to then be booked in for a scan at 12 weeks. If you don't want to be pregnant then you can be seen by somewhere like BPAS where they will scan you and discuss your options.

Hollymay12 · 23/10/2018 10:40

Oh okay thank you :)
