Other than H&M
I'm on a very dissapointing shopping trip :(

Dorothy perkins and new look in my area have small ranges

Stephisaur · 11/09/2018 11:48

It's a nightmare :(

I discovered that we have a JoJo Maman Bébé near to us, so I go there but the range still isn't massive in store :(

It's stupid, because you really need to try maternity stuff on I think!

Hayleyxmx · 11/09/2018 11:49

New look is amazing good fit and value for money. Dorothy Perkins has has good pieces. TOPSHOP has a bit although slightly overpriced. Next, I would say depending what age you are I find it a bit old fashioned. If you want something fashionable it’s ASOS and boohoo xx

cactusplant · 11/09/2018 11:49

I'm in Liverpool one and can confirm H&M maternity is as awful as it was when I had dc1 & 2 Sad

H&m were awful, had a pair of their over bump trousers and spent most of the time i was wearing them, pulling them up. Had to take safety pins out with me because they got baggier as the day went on.

GirlCroosh · 11/09/2018 11:52

Online! I had some nice bits from H&M, new look and ASOS. Stay well clear of topshop - I outgrew their leggings and in the small print is says they're designed for a 7 month bump Hmm

mrs2468 · 11/09/2018 11:53

I remember crying in a shop as all I wanted to do was try on maternity clothes without having to order them online and then return if they didn't suit. New look, H&M and mothercare were the only places I found them in.

BigBlueBubble · 11/09/2018 11:55

New Look and H&M have a few bits. If you’re near Leeds there’s a Seraphine maternity shop but it’s expensive. I mostly got free delivery and returns from ASOS.

Bojangles33 · 11/09/2018 11:55

Nope. I spent a lot of fine ordering stuff online and sending it back. I think asos do free returns so I got a lot of stuff from there

moonlight1705 · 11/09/2018 11:55

Just be thankful you don't have to look for plus size maternity clothes - it's like getting the Holy Grail.

I've just ordered stuff from Asda which is a 5 min walk away and will try them on in store to see if they fit or not then return / keep.

BrewsD · 11/09/2018 12:04

Another vote for Boohoo maternity, got so many beautiful tops. Also Red Herring in Debenhams (a little pricey, but the jeans are the comfiest) I also just got a couple of stretch fabric dresses & skirts from Primark in a size up from my normal.

Has anyone found a decent maternity bra? My underwire bras were crippling me, but being 34D I needed something for support... so I got a nursing bra from H&M, although more comfortable it fits horribly, gives my breasts no shape and makes feel horrible about how I look!

Grimbles · 11/09/2018 12:06

Most of mine is from Asda. But it is frustrating that so few places have maternity stuff in-store.

minilemonade · 11/09/2018 12:06

Having the same nightmare. All I have is h&m and a Mothercare and neither have much. I want to be able to try this stuff on before getting it :(

KingLooieCatz · 11/09/2018 12:07

In the end I just got stuff a couple of sizes up from normal from Primark. Wish I'd done that from the start.

Anotherweddingringnamechange · 11/09/2018 12:08

Top shop in Liverpool may have a range

Anotherweddingringnamechange · 11/09/2018 12:08

Red herring in Debenhams? New look

Wait4nothing · 11/09/2018 12:10

Lots of Debenhams have a red herring maternity range. I also used to size up in primark for tops and dresses. And buy online for next. Look at Facebook for second hand - lots of bundles that you could just use bits that fit and pass on the rest.

Eeeeek2 · 11/09/2018 12:10

Jojomamanbebe or mothercare

gerbo · 11/09/2018 12:16

Topshop maternity used to be great?

JurassicAdventure · 11/09/2018 12:20

Not online, but I loved the gap maternity stuff. So comfy. They nearly always have at least 40% off online.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 11/09/2018 12:21

It's so frustrating to not be able to go to a store to look and try on maternity clothes before buying. I would love to be able to find maternity tights on the high street or in the supermarket as they tend to be something I need to replace more often than I'd like.

I've only been to a Seraphine store, and it is not convenient as they seem to only be in London and Leeds. Their sale prices are pretty good, and their jeans are decent quality.

Following the visit to the store, I did buy some more jeans online as well.

I have bought maternity jeans, shorts and a top from Gap online - I really like them. They are good at basic items, but their items are not exciting or fashionable IMO.

Asda only has maternity clothes online as well - their tights are pretty good.

I've just placed orders from Asos and Boohoo as well.
I haven't received the orders yet so I don't know if they are any good.
Asos have quite a good selection, and it's not too boring or plain.
Boohoo is very cheap which I appreciate, but I just hope the quality is decent.

I have bought some (IMO) really nice wireless non-maternity bras in Victoria's Secret. ww.victoriassecret.com/bras/lounge-and-wireless/lightly-lined-wireless-bra-sexy-illusions-by-victorias-secret?ProductID=400263&CatalogueType=OLS
I would not recommend buying them online as AFAIK they ship from the US, and at that price, you'd have to pay import duty.

I'll get nursing bras when they become relevant to me, but I'm just not ready for them yet.

HollyGoLoudly1 · 11/09/2018 12:23

There is nowhere where I live that actually stocks their maternity ranges, it's so annoying! I ordered everything online, another vote for Asos and Boohoo - cheap, cheerful and a reasonable selection.

Gwynfluff · 11/09/2018 12:24

gap, mango and next all have maternity now.

In fact with Asos coming on board too - more places than when I was last pregnant 10 years ago.

cactusplant · 11/09/2018 12:37

It's so frustrating. My body shape is changing so much I really need to try this stuff on.
I've been wearing Asda wonderfit jeans since I had my 5yo which only come in xs s m & l so I don't even know what size I am. I've put on a chunk on my thighs and hips and I'm all thighs and hips anyway.
I'm miserable. Nothing fits.
I want jeans that are soft like jeggings. The maternity jeans I had from H&M first time round never had a big enough bump so would dig in halfway up my bump, and I'm finding most of them are stiff like proper jeans which I think will irritate the scar from my last section.
I'm so miserable.
I've tried primark, gap, next, topshop, Dorothy perkins, John Lewis and H&M. Went to mothercare last week. It's so useless.

Some amazing suggestions for online shopping. especially mango that's my favourite but I just want to try some on.

I live off ASOS at the minute. It's depressing.

I had in my head that Id be able to live in basic loungewear for the winter too, but the fashion is fucked now and it seems and all the loungewear is bloody crop tops!!
