How do you do a big shop with a baby?

I lay awake pondering this one last night! As you can tell I'm pregnant and a FTM!

So I'm wanting my baby to lay flat for the first 6 months as they advise. So how do you navigate a pram & a shopping trolley?! How do you improvise?

my daughter loathed the supermarket when she was born. it was too noisy, too cold etc, so would never sleep in the carrier and always woke up as soon as we went inside. I then started online shopping and it was a life saver! i still had to contend with the occasional screaming melt down when i popped in to pick the odd item during the week, but i could manage that with a buggy or carrier and shopping basket.

You can also get lie flat car seats so you don't have to worry about the time they spend in them. Joie i-level, the Kiddy ones or there's one by Jané.

Online. Definitely.

You'll save money, too!

Ds used to love looking up at all of the lights and was quite settled in the supermarket. No way would I have done it online as it was the only downtime I got because he was a very colicky baby and had reflux.

He still loves the supermarket to this day at 17 months but if he didn’t I would be turning to online. I’m abit OCD and like to pick certain products myself like meat etc so it’s just as well.

My son was crawling by six months...

Think you might be over thinking it a bit, but understand the anxiety of wondering how one managed day to day stuff with a baby.. but you'll find a way that suits you. Trust yourself xx
