@Blondcat congratulations! I'm glad you've got your flu jab sorted. Any symptoms yet?

Blondcat · 10/10/2018 13:23

@hidcat thanks, yes I have a few cramps on and off, slightly sore and bit larger boobs, peeing more, tired but waking up early. Oh and noticing more smells.

Alicejj8x · 15/10/2018 06:22

How long does round ligament pain last?

I woke up at 3am this morning ( not from the pain) and I noticed I felt a full sharp ache on my left side of my tummy. I managed to fall back to sleep and when I’ve woken up the pain is still here 😕. I am wondering wether it is round ligament pain. I am 21+4 weeks now

Lilimum4 · 15/10/2018 09:56

I'm 10+3 today but all my symptoms have gone. Did this happen to any of you lovely ladies or should I call the midwife

Alicejj8x · 15/10/2018 10:47

@Lilimum4
This used to happen to me all the time! For days even! Then one day the symptoms
Would be back with a vengeance xx

Athers666 · 16/10/2018 11:47

Got my growth scan this afternoon. Nervous! But will be nice to have a peek at baby. Hope he's doing ok. He's certainly kicking away like his life depended on it!

Cakelaur · 16/10/2018 12:09

Good luck @Athers666 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Patienceofatoddler · 16/10/2018 13:10

Good Luck @Athers666

27 weeks today here and feel like a whale. 🐳🐳

Alicejj8x · 16/10/2018 13:55

@Athers666 good luck xxxx

Athers666 · 16/10/2018 16:49

Thanks guys. Unfortunately baby has reduced growth so I'm now on weekly monitoring. I'm gutted and worried.

Alicejj8x · 16/10/2018 17:09

@Athers666
Oh bless you! Do they seem concerned or? When is your next scan! I have everything crossed for you xx

Patienceofatoddler · 16/10/2018 17:34

I'm sorry Athers.

I've got my first growth scan in a week - quite nervous for it to be honest not have Cholestasis and LowPappA together before.

Do they know why?

Hope your ok. Try not to worry (easy I to say I know and try to rest) x x

Athers666 · 16/10/2018 17:45

They don't really know why, just said that the growth was a little under what they would expect, even though the placenta flow etc was all good. Just feel kinda down though.

HidCat · 16/10/2018 19:49

@Athers666 fingers crossed everything is ok. Don't forget babies sometimes are a little small but perfect so hopefully it's just that or it will have a spurt in a week or so.

Athers666 · 16/10/2018 19:53

I do hope so. In my notes it says his estimated weight is about 3.6lbs, which surely sounds about right for 31 weeks?! I'm so confused.

clairehr · 16/10/2018 19:57

Aww Athers, hopefully just a bit of a plateau before a growth spurt. My niece was a tinker for doing that. Was born, full term, at 5lb 12oz, so small, but utterly healthy, so over 3lb sounds pretty good to be fair!

BabynameEdie · 18/10/2018 07:39

Hello everyone! I don't know why I let work and life get in the way of posting here but I've just been reading all through the posts to catch up on everything. It's so great to see you all doing so well with beautiful scan pics! @Cakelaur you must be fully in 3rd trimester, is that right?
@Athers666 hope you're ok, have they given you any more info?
@Patienceofatoddler how does 27 weeks feel? In evenings I feel like a whale and am only 25+5!
I'm 25+5 and things are great, I'm loving this stage with so much kicking. Starting to see it's going to get more uncomfortable soon though, but just still so amazed this one seems to want to stick. I think I'll relax only when it's safely in my arms 💕

Cakelaur · 18/10/2018 09:54

Hi 👋🏼 @BabynameEdie
Glad you're doing well babe. I am 31+4 today!! It's going so crazy fast!!! I'm pretty much on maternity leave as I've found cover for myself at work. However I've had someone else give notice to leave end of December!! 🙈 so I need to hire for that. Have so much to do around the house and get sorted. We've decided we're going to sell our house and move into a renovation project in the new year!!! Crazy I know. But seemed kinda sensible seeing as I'll be off work for 6 months or so. Eek!!! Now we have to find the perfect house in a shit market. And it means finishing off all the random loose ends at ours!

When's everyone else starting mat leave?

@Athers666 I'd say 3lb6 was a good weight. You gain 1/2 a lb a week from now. So it would seem bub would be a good weight by birth. Hmm. It would suggest he'd be about 7lb6 ish at birth which is a nice weight. Anyway better to be safe if he isn't growing as perfectly as he should rather you know because they may induce you a little early because they can do more for him on the outside. Grow little man, grow!! 😍 sending hugs. I'm sure he'll be perfect. Loads of ladies on a Facebook group I'm on have had monitoring for low weight babies and one week they're in the 10th Centile and the next they're in the 50th.

Patienceofatoddler · 18/10/2018 10:03

@BabynameEdie it feels whale like

So much kicking I can see it on my tummy now which is lovely.

Although just inundated with appointments now as now having twice weekly Day Unit appointments for CTG Monitoring / Bloods as well as extra growth scans / Consultant appointments and community midwife ones

Feels like I won't be at work much the next few weeks.

I know exactly what you mean about not relaxing until in your arms - I am a lot more nervous than I likely portray in real life

Do you find yourself being woken in the night with kicks?

I've found recently sleeping with a pregnancy pillow really helps.

Patienceofatoddler · 18/10/2018 10:09

@Cakelaur As I'm likely to be induced at 37 weeks (or as close as we can get to that and I turn 37 weeks on 25th December ) So I will start Mat leave quite early at 33w 3days (6 Weeks tomorrow not that I am counting haha).

I will 'handover' my job in 3 weeks time to enable my cover to do the role with me supporting so work will quieten down.

31 weeks is amazing - I can't wait to hit the big 30 😊😊

You sound like your keeping really well as well 💕

Roll on December!

Athers666 · 18/10/2018 10:58

Thanks Cakelaur and babynameedie. They are not freaking out too much luckily, basically on the graph that they plot he has dipped slightly below the line he was following so they want to keep and eye that it doesn't get worse, next week I have a doppler flow test thingy and the following week they'll measure again and have a look to see how he's getting on. I have to monitor his movements carefully but currently he's still doing karate all the time so that's good x

Beck1988 · 19/10/2018 20:15

31 weeks today! Only 9 lil weeks left till we meet our baby boy! 👶🏻💙

Athers666 · 19/10/2018 21:04

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Am doing ok and at least with the weekly monitoring we'll be well looked after. He's still bashing and bopping away and causing me lots of discomfort so that's good (!)

Welcome @leamarie How are you doing? I've found it to be such a supportive group here, I would have had a lot more panics over the last 24 weeks without this lot 😊
