i have just found out sheba is actually a boy's name. i do like it but would be hard to carry off i think. i like silvius and silvio too.

silver is good for both.

inga, nora, cleopatra, heather,fennella, finola, nola, fionnuala, teal, tehila, tola, twyla, tullia, gretel, diana, dianne, joye, joyce, lucretia, lucrezia, portia for a girl.

red, wallace, nolan, tillo, tully, tolly, tullio, till, tel or tiger for a boy.

tal and garnet are quite cool for either sex.

I am choosing between Sylvie, Lucie/Lucy, Jemima, Nancy and Tabitha.
DH already vetoed my other suggestions of Marnie, Alice, Celeste, Minette and Stella.
Won't decide till she's here...
nappyaddict, where are you getting all these names from? You're an amazing fount of baby-name knowledge! I'm too scared to read in case I get more names onto my list that I'll have to decide between!

what about araminta - minta or minty for short?

i dunno - i hear a name i like on tv, the radio, on here, in rl and then it reminds me of a whole load of other names!!

family tradition,and dh grandad was a john,he has an uncle john,my brother is called john,my dad's middle name is john so it just felt right

a few months ago i thought i was pregnant and at the time i thought it would be the end of the world. ds was really hard work and the prospect of another baby filled me with dread. fast forward a few months and i'm so broody!

i like fifi. apparently its another pet name for josephine. also like pax for a girl. it means peace in latin which is also a nice name for a girl.

for a boy i like pius, pasha, pace and pacey.
