6 weeks pregnant after 20 years trying & 5 IVF cycles

To cut a long story short, today I'm 6 weeks pregnant after 20 years of TTC & 5 IVF cycles.

I always thought that once I got that elusive positive pregnancy test then I'd be on cloud 9 without a care in the world but instead (obviously I'm absolutely delighted) but I'm full of worry & disbelief!

I can't help feeling like it's not going to work & when I go for my scan next week they will say there's nothing there.

I haven't had any symptoms at all apart from peeing more often but then I'm drinking more so that probably answers that. I do think I've lost my appetite somewhat but maybe that's stress or the drugs I'm still taking?!

No sore boobs at all which I keep reading most people get by now.

Anyone else not have any symptoms at 6 weeks?

Congratulations, you deserve this and I really hope everything goes ok for you. I know it's easy for me to say but try to relax and stop worrying.

You could’ve ovulated and/or implanted later too. Huge congratulations!

Oh my god!! I was reading this with my heart in my mouth... so pleased you've seen the heartbeat as that makes things much more positive. Dates always seem a little out on early scans so please try not to worry. Congrats Smile take care

Congratulations and very best of luck for the next 34 weeks. Try and get to the cinema, theatre, read some books, develop a Netflix habit a) to keep your mind off worrying and b) because you may not have much free time over the next ten years!
(Maybe not the Handmaid’s Tale though.)

Burst into tears at your post today 😊

10 years trying and 10 (various) fertility treatments and my pregnancy went pretty much like yours sounds.

He’s three now!

Fingers crossed! Keep us updated :) maybe take a couple of days to relax? Sometimes over doing it can cause some spotting? Sometimes nothing in general can cause it too! Yay for seeing a heartbeat :)
