6 weeks pregnant after 20 years trying & 5 IVF cycles

To cut a long story short, today I'm 6 weeks pregnant after 20 years of TTC & 5 IVF cycles.

I always thought that once I got that elusive positive pregnancy test then I'd be on cloud 9 without a care in the world but instead (obviously I'm absolutely delighted) but I'm full of worry & disbelief!

I can't help feeling like it's not going to work & when I go for my scan next week they will say there's nothing there.

I haven't had any symptoms at all apart from peeing more often but then I'm drinking more so that probably answers that. I do think I've lost my appetite somewhat but maybe that's stress or the drugs I'm still taking?!

No sore boobs at all which I keep reading most people get by now.

Anyone else not have any symptoms at 6 weeks?

I had no symptoms to speak of at that stage with either of mine OP. Try not to worry and rest up. I hope the spotting stops soon.

Had more red blood today so absolutely petrified the worst is happening.

I had my first child from my fifth ivf cycle but I had a mc at 6 weeks from my second, it started suddenly and was all over in a couple of hours. Have you had any pain? Bleeding without pain is less of a worry.
I really hope you get good news at your scan x

No pain thankfully & the bleeding has gone down to light spotting again now. God this is so stressful!

Still spotting but it's slowed down a lot. Really don't know what to think. 24 hours to go until my scan & I've never prayed harder for good news!!

Good luck, will be thinking of you tomorrow! I had a massive bleed at 10 weeks and had to call an ambulance, I was sure there was no way my baby had survived but he had! I'm now 29 weeks!

I bled a lot at around seven weeks pregnant with my first baby. He’s currently outside climbing backwards down a slide in our garden. I know how terrifying it is. I can still remember waiting for the scan. I cried so many happy tears the sonographer did too
Will keep fingers crossed for you that it’s nothing to worry about and baby is fine.

A friend of mine who went through IVF had a big bleed around the same time as you are - she was convinced she had lost the baby but at her scan everything was okay.

I had bleed at 5 weeks and sure it was the end. They scanned an there was the gestational sac and yolk and looking fine. I had to wear pads due to brown light bleeding for a week and a half. I am now 27 weeks pregnant of beautiful little girl. I hope you get the same results, wish you all the best.

@MyLittleBee I bled with my daughter and I’ve also had bleeding with this one at almost 8 weeks still not out of the woods but had a scan last Friday which showed a strong heartbeat.

I can't believe it, absolutely over the moon!

My body has finally allowed me to become pregnant, it feels surreal.

The only thing I'm slightly concerned about is that I'm 6+5 today but baby is measuring 5+6. The sonographer said it's normal to be + or - 7 days so I'm ok but I'm just hoping it means baby will have a growth spurt in between now and my next scan in 2weeks..
