Which is better - Quinny Buzz or Bebeconfort Loola?

Going to buy the whole system - pushchair, carrycot and car seat. Both car seats are a good fit in the car but I can't decide between the two.

Can anyone with experiences of either help me make a decision?

Thanks

if these are your only two choices, get the Buzz - the Loola is nowhere near as cool-looking IMO, and if I remember rightly is also heavier.

chocolatemousse · 18/05/2007 17:38

I much prefer the look of the older Buzz, but it seems very hard to get hold of without buying second hand.

The new colours are quite garish!

Hia i have bought the Buzz and cant wait to use it, Its light and very easy to use, the seat is also scotch guarded too,And the car seats come in graet colours too.

dannyg · 18/05/2007 18:16

sorry ment great(not hot on spelling) i blame the hormones!

chocolatemousse · 18/05/2007 19:45

Thanks dannyg. What colour did you get?

Anyone have experience of pushing either/taking in and out of the car?

I mind my nephew every friday and sil leaves me his Buzz and it is the biggest bag of shite I have ever used and I have had 12 buggies in 2 years so I should know.

I'm a Buzz veteran, and it is quite bulky and takes up loads of room in the boot as the wheels are mahoosive

chocolatemousse · 18/05/2007 20:26

oh no, tegan. Why do you say that?

i have the loola and think it's fab. fits in boot of v small car and is pretty light. Now that DS is bigger i have also bought a v lightweight buggy so i don't know if the quinny means you wouldn't need to do that, but i think it's more expensive. We didn't bother with the carrycot though we had a moses basket. he was fine in the pushchair from birth. creatis car seat does well in safety tests. only thing is the handles don't extend so if you or your partner are tall you'll need to try it out for comfort. to be honest, most people seem happy with what they choose so I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you buy.

chocolatemousse · 18/05/2007 20:55

Did you use the footmuff in the pushchair, smittenkitten? It's looks huge for a newborn!

We have the Quinny Buzzy and really love it. DD1 is now 3 and it's lasted so well that we should be fine to use it when our new baby arrives in September.

chocolatemousse · 18/05/2007 20:59

That would be the older style then, filbrit? I like the navy and red reflection fabrics, but they're not available any more.

I had both and would def go for the buzz over the loola, which I found heavy and difficult to push

tegan · 18/05/2007 21:13

Sorry to upset but dd2 (3) tries to get in it and I find it really restictive. also when going up and down pavements because it has 3 wheels it tends to topple

chocolatemousse · 18/05/2007 21:26

No need to apologise. I appreciate your honesty!

I have a Buzz (last years model) and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Difficult to push as front wheel has a mind of its own and frequently kicks to one side. Heavy to lift in and out of the car too. Only plus point is that the babba can face me when I'm pushing her along

Bought a second hand Urban Detour for £15 on Ebay and love it, has doubled the amount of walking I've done since buying it.

chocolatemousse · 18/05/2007 21:34

I did wonder about that funny front wheel. Is it just masquerading as a 3-wheeler?

We don't do a huge amount of off-roading though.

Does anyone else have experience of the Loola? I'm worried it doesn't have as much shock absorbency as the Buzz.

Hatrick - glad your Buzz behaves itself! Do you do much offroading? Think I have buggered up the front wheel by tackling sand, mud and gravel on a regular basis. DH wants me to get a replacement front wheel and not subject it to mud again.

Chocolatemousse - if you won't be doing much offroading then you should be OK with the Buzz. The only other disadvantage is the Buzz is wider than other buggies - if you have small village shops near you like I do, you may find you take out the bottom of their carefully arranged displays on a regular basis! Congrats on doing some research before shelling out your cash - I didn't do this properly - hence my problem with the Buzz now

Do you have to take the seat off to fold it?

Did you have it from birth hatrick? Any experience of the carrycot? I prefer the Quinny carrycot to the Bebeconfort.

The Loola folds smaller though which would be good for the car.
