Bumping/watching with interest as I really wanted a non alcoholic beer the other day but when I googled it said not to. The becks ones are 0.05% so surely must be ok? There’s more alcohol in fruit juice sometimes!

K9pal7 · 06/05/2018 15:00

Yeah they are safe no alcohol no problem.

cj123400 · 06/05/2018 15:01

I got a old mount cider (berries and cherries) it says 0.05% I'm sure it will be fine x

Is this even in the first trimester?

cj123400 · 06/05/2018 15:04

I'm 16 weeks

I drank non alcoholic becks at a BBQ last summer when I was around 18 weeks.

K9pal7 · 06/05/2018 15:08

My sister drank the none alcohol drinks and my niece has come out fine. I drink them too at 21 weeks pregnant and everything looked normal on my scan so you should be fine.

cj123400 · 06/05/2018 15:08

Thankyou xx

I think you’d need to have about 60 to have had the same amount of alcohol in one g&t. I know NHS advice is to avoid it completely these days but I reckon you’ll be ok to have a couple.

I love them and sometimes have up to three several times a week.

Katnisnevergreen · 06/05/2018 15:09

@cj123400 I didn’t mean you were in the first trimester, I am and was asking if they were safe for me to drink now.

cj123400 · 06/05/2018 15:44

I only had one now I've got a bottle of water so should be fine x

I’ve just bought alcohol free kopperburg for a BBQ tonight, not worried about drinking them in the slightest.

Poptart4 · 06/05/2018 16:06

Worrying about 0.05% alcohol is a bit hysterical 🙄 You'll be fine op

surreygirl1987 · 06/05/2018 17:29

Is the NHS advice really to avoid these drinks?! Hadn't come across that!

RexManning · 06/05/2018 17:52

There is absolutely no NHS advice to avoid 0.05% alcohol drinks, because they are essentially alcohol free. Fresh orange juice can naturally contain up to 0.5% alcohol.

Mousefunky · 06/05/2018 17:54

I have drank about ten over the past couple of weeks Grin. They are delightful.

surreygirl1987 · 06/05/2018 18:44

@Rex thanks for clarifying! Didn't think I'd have missed something like that- plus it makes little little!

jusdepamplemousse · 06/05/2018 19:15

You could drink a glass of regular cider and be grand tbh!

Honestly no need to worry about alcohol free drinks...(!!!?) Confused

LadyPenelopeCantDance · 06/05/2018 19:16

There is a new non-alcoholic spirit called Seedlip. I tried it in a pub yesterday and it was nice. Felt like more of a treat than just a plain tonic.

MoonFacesMum · 06/05/2018 22:07

Non alcoholic drinks have improved so much since my last go in 2014! I can recommend non alcoholic kopperburg, I like the pear and the strawberry and lime, becks blu and Eisberg wines. The red is pretty nice, not quite like a red but still tasty and the Sauvignon blanc and rose are lovely! The wines and beer in particular are great because they don’t taste just like juice.

Ravenclaw87 · 07/05/2018 07:47

If anyone is missing beer Brewdog Nanny State is amazing. It’s really hoppy and tastes like a good ale rather than larger.
A ripe banana contains around the same amount of alcohol as a Nanny State so no need for anyone to worry!

hammeringinmyhead · 07/05/2018 08:00

I'm 12 weeks and drinking Heineken 0% and Kopparberg alcohol-free strawberry and lime. I had a Becks Blue yesterday which I enjoyed too! Non-alc wine is disgusting though.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 07/05/2018 08:10

I was really disappointed to not like Nanny State, which is what everyone recommended for a pregnant ale drinker, so my alternative recommendation is St Peter's Without. I am so glad that alcohol-free beers are so readily available now - I so much prefer them to being sat in the pub with an orange juice!

ElizabethLemon · 07/05/2018 09:12

Definitely agree re nanny state, it’s the only
alcohol free beer that I actually enjoy. A friend owns a beer shop and brought me round a selection to try and they were all pretty disappointing!

Shruggy · 07/05/2018 09:54

Seedlip is delicious. Easy to fool yourself into thinking you're having a G&T
