So I'm 6w & want a early scan but dh is saying to wait until our 12week scan.

To listen to him or book a scan anyway? Grin

I was kinda after a scan at 9w, but DH persuaded me that, like other people have said further up, it would only reassure me temporarily and then I would start worrying again so it was a waste of £50 (the going rate in our area).

We now have our date for the dating scan, and it's not till 13 weeks. We're desperate to tell people, and we would have done so if we'd've had the reassurance scan at 9w.

We regret the things we haven't done more than the things we have, so I think you've made the right choice!

Your H shouldn’t tell you what you might think or feel IMO! Patronising.

My consultant told me that if all looked good at 8+ weeks the chances of mc were low. But it’s not a “reassurance” scan because any scan can, sadly, be bad news.
