Moses Basket or Next to Me?

I am 23+3 and starting to think about what needs buying. I really like the idea of the Next to Me but at £150 they are expensive!

I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on whether the next to me is worth the extra? Is a moses basket just as good, or do you prefer one over the other?

Thank you in advance!

Not sure if this will help OP, but I price watched the Next 2 Me on Amazon for a month or so and it ended up being reduced to £100 at one point - I swooped in then! So happy I did, heard such amazing things about it :)

We've also been weighing up the options and have decided to rent a Bednest for 6 months, with brand new mattress etc. It's a bit cheaper than buying a new Snuzpod or Next2Me, but for me one of the big things was that they'll come and take it away when you're done with it. We don't have vast amounts of space and the thought of accumulating "stuff" that only gets used for x months and then needing to be sold on/disposed of was driving me a bit potty.

Moses basket for us, ours is 40+ years old as it's actually the one hubby was in and if you drop it will go through the floor lol

Moses basket is easier for us transport wise but we get a baby box so that can be used downstairs a long with the swing crib that's also his lol.

Also with the next2me you can probably sell it on and make your money back . Moses baskets are not really worth anything now .

@kittypillar that's really helpful, thank you! Il keep an eye on that!

@brogueish That's interesting, I didn't know you could rent! Space isn't really an issue for us, and to be honest once we've finished using it I will probably sell it anyway, a friend of mine sold hers (annoyingly right before I found out I was pregnant!) and only lost about £20 in the end I think

I am currently having the same dilemma. I can see the benefits of the next to me for breastfeeding but not so much for bottle feeding? I’m going to try breastfeeding but also considering that it may not work out. Also as I’m struggling with mobility issues that may remain after pregnancy I’m wondering is it very difficult to get out of bed around the crib?

Hire a Bednest for six months. It's about seventy quid and all of the fabric parts are new.

How did you get on with the next to me, was it worth it ?

I like the snuzpod. Moses baskets are crap, none of my DC would sleep in one.
