Reduced movement for 5 days - 35 weeks

My baby just will not move! The only movement I've had in 5 days is the hiccups 3 times and that's only lasted around 2/3 minutes as opposed to the usually twice a day he'd never seem to stop having them and I've had a slight roll or small stretch but I've really had to stop and focus to feel this. My partner has given my belly a poke and a prod and a shake and the most he got in 12 hours was one small foot pop up and go back down again. I'm too worried to ring the hospital because we don't drive so it involves ringing family and getting childcare for my boy and I don't like to make a fuss. I'm also worried they'll stick me on a ctg and see he's not moving at all and want to keep me in or induce me soon. Help please!

Baby will be full term at 37 weeks, so don't worry! If baby needs to come then, they're developed enough to survive as long as no other problems. It's the best for baby. Fingers crossed for you. They would tell you if there was anything to worry about.

What did the consultant say @laura1306? Hope everything is OK Flowers

I was tested for Oc but DS had to be delivered before the tests came back as he was in trouble. You must keep a closer eye on the movements. If they change at all, lots more, much fewer then get yourself to hospital. I don't mean to be harsh but ffs this is your baby. Make a fuss. The alternative is not one you want.

Oh gosh I’m so glad you went OP.

Been told today induction for OC in two weeks and been put on Urso for OC. So glad I went up because my results had tripled in a week. Exercising my fear of needles over the next two weeks now with more injections and blood tests and hospital visits for monitoring so thank you everyone for the push!!!

So glad you went OP. Flowers
Please please keep a really close eye on baby’s movements from now on - even though you’ve been checked and have a plan any change at all must be checked again.
I ended up on the monitor 4 times over the course of 10 days. The first three he was fine, the last he wasn’t and had to be delivered that day. I felt like a time waster driving to hospital that fourth time but i’m So glad that I did.

I was up for monitoring for reduced movements at 35 and 36 weeks and admitted for induction at 38 weeks after a bout of contractions pretty much stopped him completely. Turned out we had a true knot in the cord.

Today write down every time you get a movement, not hiccups, from your baby. And every day from now on. OC is very serious for the baby. It's annoying for you with all the itching but it goes immediately baby is delivered. Any doubt, straight to hospital.
