Just curious what your worst pregnancy symptom was. Thanks.

PUPPP, as mentioned by a previous poster. Couldn’t sleep for scratching-nothing eased it.

pickle162 · 01/02/2018 07:55

24/7 nausea and sickness for first 19-20 weeks 🤮

cornishmumtobe · 01/02/2018 07:55

Oh dear god the itching! Nothing but ice worked to relieve it and I tried everything short of sawing my legs off

scaredofthecity · 01/02/2018 07:57

Fucking pgp, it's miserable. I miss my mobility, being able to get comfy, not being in chronic pain. Being able to pick my son up, working in my job I love... I'm only bloody 27 weeks.

Twofishfingers · 01/02/2018 08:00

early pregnancy - nausea
middle - being constantly eating like a horse, even at night, and putting on an enormous amount of weight (accompanied by heartburn and cramps in the legs)
end - insomnia

Scoose · 01/02/2018 08:07

Insomnia! I didn't sleep at night for about six months and spent most nights on the sofa as couldn't get comfortable in bed. Also the heartburn and nausea and after six months sciatica

silkpyjamasallday · 01/02/2018 08:08

Vomiting 10+ times a day for 40 weeks. Didn't have any other symptoms though thankfully

Girlwiththearabstrap · 01/02/2018 08:13

I'm luckier than some by reading it! Severe pre eclampsia and the subsequent worry second time round hasn't been great.

I do get insomnia. And this is a weird one, but if I get too cold my nipples get excruciatingly painful. Like a burning feeling that takes ages to go. I've been in tears because of it. Only happens in pregnancy and I don't know if anyone else has it or I'm just weird!

Sarahh2014 · 01/02/2018 08:15

Worry,v bad pain and tiredness

bluechameleon · 01/02/2018 08:16

Pelvic pain. It's so depressing that I can't do anything with my DS because I can't walk for more than 5 minutes.

Flabbermingo · 01/02/2018 08:18

Exhaustion, I didn't realise how bad it was until I gave birth.

BubbaLips · 01/02/2018 08:20

i had extreme chronic thrush and it was horrific. many a night i was in tears with the constant itch and actual pain with it.

gigi556 · 01/02/2018 08:20

Not being able to walk 😩

Eminybob · 01/02/2018 08:21

Early on the blocked nose. And because you can’t take decongestives it was relentless.

Later on the heartburn, I used to carry around a huge bottle of gaviscon and just glug it from the bottle.

Also had issues with my wrists, suspected carpal tunnel, but it turned out to be de quervain tenosynivitis. And also problems with my hips. Had physio for both of those which was no use.

And giant elephant feet.

Pregnancy is so much fun, remind me again why I want to do it again?

Vanannabananna · 01/02/2018 08:24

Severe heartburn, bad SPD, needing loo all the tine! 10 weeks to going with dc2 and I’m done!

Bambooshkka · 01/02/2018 08:34

Sickness. It was horrific.

MrsMyreton · 01/02/2018 08:41

Blocked nose would keep me up at night.

Also heartburn in the last two weeks so I slept propped up in bed using lots of pillows. OH and I had a laugh about that one though, seemed ridiculous! Grin

Passmethecakeplease · 01/02/2018 08:44

Oh god, yeah, how did I miss off the blocked nose? I'm just so used to it now that even though it's annoying I just kind of gloss over it.

Notlostjustexploring · 01/02/2018 08:49

The one putting me off a future pregnancy at the moment was the what I now realise was antenatal depression, although a special mention goes to the bone crushing tiredness in early pregnancy. I was fairly stoic and made light of and about the thrice daily vomiting and retching, the heartburn, the food and smells aversion etc, but the emotional side completely threw me. It was awful. Especially as anyone I tried to tell was dismissive. (just hormones, think positive etc)

Rumpledfaceskin · 01/02/2018 08:51

Without a doubt, sickness. I’m currently 7 wks with no.2 and I feel like I have norovirus every day. It’s hell. Had it with last one but not this bad!

HappyGirl86 · 01/02/2018 08:54

I had piriformis syndrome from 16 weeks meaning I hardly slept at night due to the pain in my hips/bum. In the last two months of pregnancy I couldn't walk for longer than 5 minutes and I was in agony all day long. Physio really helped and as soon as she was born it cleared up! All hormone related.

Also terrible heartburn.

Namechangeuser · 01/02/2018 08:58

Thrombosed piles and pelvic pain 😭

Oysterbabe · 01/02/2018 08:58

Oh and itchy feet. I scratched the skin off them.

Shehz21 · 01/02/2018 09:14

Hyperemesis from week 7 to week 17 then many relapses along the way. Currently 33 weeks and an ongoing relapse since week 30 is killing me.
Plus SPD and antenatal depression. AAAANNDDD insomnia lately. Hate pregnancy and never doing this again. Never ever again.

Buglife · 01/02/2018 09:24

First trimester the constant vomiting and food aversion, horrible taste in mouth all the time, exhaustion, always need to wee
Second trimester the shooting pains in back, hips, bum and thighs, restless legs at night, insomnia
Third trimester all of the above at once and inability to move properly, walk anywhere, bend over to pick anything up.

I’m 17 weeks with DC2 and most of the above has happened again, I pray I don’t get any new fun symptoms as I go on. Pregnancy is just like a horrible 9 month illness. I’m trying to remember that even after my ventouse birth and broken coccyx I sat at home with day old DS and just felt... better. Some crushing weakness had lifted and I wanted to eat food. I felt more capable with a 1 month old baby on 4 hours of sleep a night than I did in late pregnancy.
