Congrats everyone who has had BFPs!! I feel like my life has changed since yesterday!!

I know some people have mentioned reassurance scans. I was thinking of getting one done at 6-8 weeks as I still can’t really believe it!

MissSophieB397 · 13/01/2018 14:33

How's everyone doing? Feeling sick today and just hungry allll the time!! 4+2

Hi I’m just tired and bit swollen tum but no sickness (yet!) mercifully. I’m 6 weeks tomorrow. Hope everyone’s doing ok.

hevaheva · 13/01/2018 15:10

Hello! Great idea for a thread! :-) I got my BFP this morning :-) Baby due around the 20th September.

nik1985 · 13/01/2018 16:31

Hey! I’m soooooo bloated and uncomfortable! Other than that absolutely fine! Have booked an early scan for 2/2. Currently 4w3. Look after yourselves ladies xx

jsc26 · 13/01/2018 17:12

Hi all,
Ive just done a test this afternoon with a BFP - EDD my birthday 26th September... tested with FRER as I have gone off food and that never happens! Only would be 3wks+2 days or something though!

GnTplease · 13/01/2018 17:25

Hi everyone. Massive congrats to you all. I got my bfp this morning too. EDD 26th September and it's my first. Is anyone else getting really weird cramping sensations? No idea what is normal!

jubbablub · 13/01/2018 19:58

Congrats ladies!!

I had my first midwife appointment over the phone on Friday @GnTplease and asked her about cramping. She said it’s totally normal and to make sure you’re taking your full daily dosage of paracetamol.

I’ve had massive cravings for any food containing chilli and coriander simultaneously. Ended up having salt and pepper chips with gravy for my tea last night and covered it in lots of fresh chillies and coriander. Curry tonight. I’m a bit stressed that we might now have run out of coriander!!!!

GnTplease · 13/01/2018 20:31

@jubbablub oh phew, that makes me feel a little freaked out. It's not been bad enough for painkillers thankfully. My boobs on the other hand are killing!!! That was what made me test. So do I just ring my GP to get a midwife appt? Sorry I'll be asking lots of questions as I can't chat to any friends about this and have no clue!

GnTplease · 13/01/2018 20:32

@jubbablub sorry should have said that makes me feel less freaked out!

AyeAyeFishyPie · 13/01/2018 21:54

Hi everyone!
I'm due on 3rd September with our first. We were only trying for a month. Is anyone else who bit terrified? I went into mothercare today and it freaked me out. I'm not sure I'm ready for this.

jubbablub · 13/01/2018 23:03

@gntplease I had been in on Wednesday to see GP as I thought I had a chest infection. Told him I had a positive pregnancy test that morning. He told me to book in at reception for MW appt, no availability for 4 weeks, so she rang me and did it all over the phone.

toxitears181 · 14/01/2018 07:11

My first baby is due 25th July 😊👶🏻 can't wait xxx

polkadotpixie · 14/01/2018 10:01

Hi everyone 😊

I found out last Monday at 13dpo that I'm pregnant with #1...bit of a shock as we'd been trying for almost a year and I'd given up hope of it happening naturally!

I'm 4w5d now and no major symptoms, some occasional mild nausea and I'm pretty tired. I have had quite a bit of cramping which has made me very anxious but I'm trying to drink plenty of water which seems to help

Congratulations to everyone else, so exciting and it's lovely to join a thread for FTMs as we're all in the same boat 😊

CrabbyPatty · 14/01/2018 10:25

Hi all, I was 6 weeks as of yesterday. I'm starting to panic as after some initial nausea and cramping I now have no symptoms. I never got sore boobs and I have no morning sickness. Really worried about whether baby is still there :(

jubbablub · 14/01/2018 15:51

@CrabbyPatty it’s still in there. You’re growing a baby!!!

It is so hard isn’t it, but we’ve got to learn to trust our bodies. Both in pregnancy and labour.

imgeorgiabtw · 14/01/2018 18:03

Hi! I'm in exactly the same position. I M/C in August with pregnancy no1! And now and 5+3 with baby no.2 .. we didn't find out we miscarried until the scan so I feel like we can't relax until after the 12wk scan.. Confused anyone else have really bad heartburn this early on? Blushxx

MissSophieB397 · 15/01/2018 08:57

Anybody else suffered with bad back ache? Can't sit comfortably at all! And then when I go to bed I just can't get comfy and I see most hours of the night. Least it's preparing me for what's to come 😂

GnTplease · 15/01/2018 09:17

So I woke up this morning and my crazy painful boobs have stopped hurting. So of course I panicked and thought this is deffo going to be a chemical...did a test and it's much darker, temp was still high...so keeping everything crossed. Didn't think I'd be this anxious but I've let myself get all excited now 😔
@MissSophieB397 I had a really sore back for a few days around implantation I think...but it's not so bad now. Heat usually is the best thing to soothe mine when it's playing up (have general back issues)

MoDip · 15/01/2018 09:45

I’m 4 weeks pregnant today, found out last Tuesday so super early! Due 25th Sept, and it’s my first pregnancy. Can’t stop worrying something’s going to happen. Did another test this morning just to double check! All a whirlwind as it was our first cycle trying

rosegeorgia21 · 15/01/2018 10:28

@MoDip don't worry! It's out of your control. Just try and be happy and excited. Hope all goes well for you!! SmileThanks

Kirst96 · 15/01/2018 10:44

Hope don't mind me joining! I'm 6 weeks 3 days due 7th of sept with first baby after nearly a year of trying! Still dosnt feel real and worrying 24/7 with symptoms coming and going!

GnTplease · 15/01/2018 10:53

When is everyone planning on sharing their news? I've got 3 evenings out this week/weekend and am normally (as you can tell by my username) someone who enjoys a drink. So going to tell my best friend who will hopefully help me hide the fact I'm avoiding the gin! I would want her support if things don't work out so feel happy to tell her. Also maybe my parents in a couple of weeks?

MoDip · 15/01/2018 11:49

@GandTplease I am having the same issue, very unusual for me to be off wine and caffeine, trying to disguise it as the N.Y. health kick but I already know my best friend is suspicious! I know my mum would be upset if I told anyone else before her though!

rosegeorgia21 · 15/01/2018 12:33

@GnTplease I'm having that issue. Last time when I mc I told everyone super early then had to back track and tell everyone there was no baby. So I'm waiting til 12 weeks! I'm telling everyone I'm doing dry january!! Don't know what il say when it gets to feb. 😂xx
