@peachesarenom if it's bad news at a private scan, they will encourage you to ring your GP or EPU.

Flatwhite32 · 31/12/2017 23:12

Keeping everything crossed all is ok @peachesarenom xx

keepingbees · 01/01/2018 01:18

As another poster has said they would advise you of what to do and who to go to x

peachesarenom · 01/01/2018 03:28

I've got such bad lower back pain. Excruciating. Still not bleeding enough to go back to A&E. I really want to sleep.

Celticlassie · 01/01/2018 07:42

Really hope all is ok, Peaches. Thanks

BuffalotheGruffalo · 01/01/2018 07:59

How are you @peachesarenom ?

Flatwhite32 · 01/01/2018 09:27

How are you @peachesarenom? I hope the back pain has eased. Xx

Steeley113 · 01/01/2018 09:37

I’ve had 2 experiences of this, one wasn’t good and ended in mmc. That was spotting and turned into a light flow. Got pregnant straight after and had huge gushes of blood on multiple occasions and here I am, 7 months pregnant and being kicked constantly. I’d pay for a private scan if you can.

peachesarenom · 01/01/2018 11:10

DH had to drive to the hospital at about 4am. The pain! Long story short looks like mmc. I will post more later. At the moment I have no idea what has happened to me.

I'm so sorry @peachesarenom.

Flatwhite32 · 01/01/2018 11:20

Oh peaches I'm so sorry. I had a MMC in August at 12 weeks, so I know exactly how you must be feeling. Please feel free to contact me if you would like some directions towards support threads I'm on. Xx

TheChineseChicken · 01/01/2018 11:41

Sorry to hear this. I miscarried my first pregnancy at 9 weeks. Was obviously distressing at the time but I was pregnant again 3 months later and now have DD so things can turn out fine in the end. Take care of yourself

Daphne33 · 01/01/2018 13:15

Followed ur post in the Summer Babies thread. I'm so so sorry to hear @peachesarenom. Wishing the very best for u and that u will come out the best u can. Take care

IAmLucy · 01/01/2018 14:06

So sorry @peachesarenom I have been there myself and its awful Thanks

IAmLucy · 01/01/2018 14:11

Just to add - I became pregnant again soon after and had similar bleeding. Obviously panicked but my daughter is 2.5 and running wild as we speak. Take time to grieve and look after yourself of course but don't lose heart Thanks

choccybiscuit · 01/01/2018 16:35

Im so sorry to hear this (((( hugs))))

peachesarenom · 01/01/2018 20:53

I thought an mmc would be like a massive period but I and the specialist consultant made it sound like all people have contractions and feel the need to push so you have actual labour pains. I think everyone should make sure they have strong painkillers at home. Just in case! You can have paracetamol and codeine. So cocodamol is fine. Check spellings please. It is humiliating being in A&E reception begging for pain killers. I can tell you I've never begged like that in my life.

I'm still bleeding and passing massive clots.

Honestly I can't think about the missing baby yet though as I'm just so relieved the pain is over.

Thank you all so much for holding my hand. It really did help me loads. I'm gonna take a few months to recover/distract myself with other things and then reasses if I want to have another go. Right now I really don't. Still happy to be around other people's babies though.

My mum came round she had a little cry. DH then had a massive cry.

@peachesarenom I'm glad your pain is better. That must have been so horrible. Bizarrely I had no bleeding at all with my MMC, so I had to go to theatre and have everything removed under general anaesthetic. Please feel free to message me if you need some emotional support. Take care of yourself and give yourself plenty of TLC. So sorry for your loss. Xxx

Celticlassie · 01/01/2018 23:13

I'm so, so sorry, Peaches.

birdbandit · 02/01/2018 17:54

So sorry. X

SandSnakeofDorne · 03/01/2018 12:58

I’m so sorry. It’s a horrible experience.

peachesarenom · 03/01/2018 15:12

I had the final confirmation scan today with DH. Then I went to visit my midwife. She was great. I gave her a hug. She was so reassuring.
