sandcastles · 15/04/2007 10:17

Sorry LL, hope it wasn't a shock seeing the pic then!

MM, Wonderful eh?

lulumama · 15/04/2007 10:20

i think that is absolutely wonderful!!

how amazing, anything that can help get the woman more involved in a caesarean birth is great !!

lets hope this and the 'natural' caesarean become more commonplace and offered to more women.

thanks for that sandcastles

ShowOfHands · 15/04/2007 10:23

Wow! Also thought it might be a 'stuck on a long haul flight with only a coat hanger and a biro' type scenario.

Great picture!

goingfor3 · 15/04/2007 10:23

I think that's really lovely, I'm sure many women would be happy to have the opportunity to do that.

sandcastles · 15/04/2007 10:28

Hi Lulu

No worries, glad you liked it.

Think I might consider it, if I can't do VBAC for any reason.

lulumama · 15/04/2007 11:44

if you can , you should think about it for sure !

hatwoman · 15/04/2007 11:48

really amazing! I also think the woman's comments are spot on - all of them. lovely story

melsy · 15/04/2007 11:55

SNOWBall4girlz · 15/04/2007 12:06

yes and yes but not having anymore
think it is wonderful thankyou for posting this

Lullabyloo · 15/04/2007 12:11

Oh Wow....that's just amazing....that would have have made such an incredible difference...being part of it all..participating instead of having a procedure done to you.

sandcastles · 15/04/2007 12:18

Lulu, I plan to ask if I have a planned c-section...can only ask I guess!

OP posts:
sandcastles · 15/04/2007 12:20

Lullabyloo, that's just what I think. I was a c-section under GA so wouldn't have mattered in my case. But I think it would mean more involvement & control...

Would have loved to feel more in control of dd's birth!

lulumama · 15/04/2007 12:21

is this the hospital you would have your next DC in, sandcastles?

sandcastles · 15/04/2007 12:23

No....but do you think it will have reached Adeliade by sometime 2008?

OP posts:
MintChocChippyMinton · 15/04/2007 12:24

That is amazing... i don't think i could do it myself - since having an emergency c-section i have never been able to even read about the procedure, it makes me squirm

lulumama · 15/04/2007 12:24

who knows !! i;d hold onto the article and any others , and wait and see !

sandcastles · 15/04/2007 12:26

Certainly will do. Got to worth a try.

MintChocChippyMinton, took me ages to be able to read about/watch on tv. I know what you mean.
