Hey.

Just back from midwife appointment and I'm measuring 3 weeks behind, there's been no change in my bump since my last appointment.

I've also been very damp and needing liners plus the midwife said my bump was really tight/solid...which I completely agree with as it's been uncomfortable and a little sore for a week or so. (I put it down to BH and my SPD)

Midwife is concerned that my fluid could be reduced?

So I'm now sat at home waiting on the hospital calling me... DP at work so I'm kinda twiddling my thumbs. Midwife has asked hospital for a scan today but advised me it could be early tomorrow morning.

Baby is moving fine, if anything movement has been more pronounced in the last week. I can now visually see the whole bump move. Plus the HB is OK, higher than last time but still in range.

I'm 36 weeks, measuring 33 weeks. Last time I was checked I was 33+1 week and measuring 33 weeks dead on. Bump has always been "right" size give or take a day or two. At 30 weeks baby measured 2lbs 8oz on a fluid scan (I was in a accident so got checked) and fluid was "great"... Was told then that they'd expect baby to be 3lbs+ by then but they weren't concerned.

I think I'm just asking for a hand hold until DP gets home... (I can't even call anyone as need to keep the line free) What happens with reduced fluid or small baby at these scans? (My brain went off at my appointment)

Just seen on my notes my fluid was average, I know this could have changed but feel a bit more informed now

Good luck today! Hope they can check you out and reassure you Flowers

Hope you managed to get a relatively good nights sleep and everything goes well today!

Just read this thread... another one saying you need to get right down to the labour ward and properly checked out. Please do it; it’s just not worth the risk of not doing so. You’re not being pushy, just protecting your health and your baby’s.

I'm so nervous... But keen to find out what is going on.

Good luck Ons. Let us know how you get on today xx

OnNaturesCourse · 27/10/2017 10:11

Hmm. Everything measured "fine"

Sonographer happy with all the measurements and said all documents will be sent to my midwife.

Baby is very tucked in, and quite low/engaged. Lying facing the side.

So I guess all is well and my discharge is just increased and I'm running warm... Grin

sounds very worrying for you op but 36weeks is good my baby was born at 36+4 and is currently sat in my arms trying to eat his muslin square!

Mustang27 · 27/10/2017 10:51

That’s fab ons sorry if I was jumping to the go to hospital conclusion. So glad everything is ok. Good news that baby is engaged. SmileSmile

Annamadrigal · 27/10/2017 11:23

Ah fantastic! Sorry if we got you more worried, I think everyone has that moment of panic that something isn't right, and we all have stories of our own. Just so happy that everything is fine and you can relax (!) for the next few weeks.

OnNaturesCourse · 27/10/2017 12:11

Thank you all, I think midwives, hospitals etc just need to be a little more considerate when these situations arise... How they can tell us possibilities and expect us to calmly wait around I'll never know.

Was nice to see baby again. Got a really clear view of their face... Definitely got Daddy's family genes. Absolute double of their Aunt on that side.

Good news! Sorry we rushed you off to hospital unnecessarily, but better to be safe than sorry. Now you can relax and enjoy these last few days and weeks (as much as you can given your pregnancy discomforts!)

Ladies... A quick thank you to you all for the hand holding and getting me through the night 😘
