Which side sleeper?

Does anyone have either a snuzpod, a baby nest or a mother care Tutti bambini?

Or does anyone know whether any of them do up whilst attached to the bed- ie so I could put the baby to bed then leave the room if I needed to for a min without taking the whole thing off?
Any other advantages /disadvantages?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks johnlapsley fingers crossed it works with our bed. I'd rather hire one I think ideally so would be great if we can use that.

OP you can see in the photo I attached that the side can be put down while it’s already attached.

We hired a bednest and it was brilliant. The side goes up and down when it's attached and I slept with it open, I didn't realise you're not supposed to. You can tilt it for reflux and it fits a sleepyhead in it if you decide to get one. The company were fab too, baby came early before the bednest had been delivered and they arranged for it to come the next day. I used it for 9 months. I'd definitely recommend it.

UptheDuffy, thank you so you can. Think I'm confusing myself ! I think the legs also look like they'd fit over a side bit of a bed too although might get in touch with them and check.

Thanks Jaybeanie, 9 months is brilliant. I would definitely rather hire than buy and sell on too.

We had a divan bed. It comes with straps for attaching to any type of bed. I liked the bedside idea so much that when we moved to a cot I took the up/down side off and attached it to the bed too.

Mortigua · 03/10/2017 14:24

I emailed bednest and they have had others with the same bed as mine and confirmed that it works so decision made for me! Thanks so much everyone for helping!
Good idea on the cot uptheduffy, it does make life easier having them near by in the night.

Hi folks, we used a Bednest hire with DS, and loved it, and so did the same for DD who is just 5 days old and had her first night in it last night!
The big change as people have said is that the side no longer hinges in the centre - in the photo @Uptheduffy has linked you can see the bar running down where it used to fold. This does make it less user friendly, because it is uncomfortable lying on it, and when it hinged I had more space.
Last night when she needed a feed, I sat up, sat my pillows up, then dropped the full side down, and sat just at the edge of the dropped section so it wasn't uncomfortable, and it was still very easy to lean over, pick up DD, feed her, and pop her back smoothly without waking her up. Then put the side back up to sleep. We have a king size bed, so I could do all of that without encroaching on DHs side of the bed!! If you had a standard double I think you'd have to sit on the side and put up with it, or space would be an issue!
I used to use it all the time with the side down but in half, so I could lie next to DS until he dropped off, so I'm a bit sad that that will be less comfy, but I get why they did it after people using it to sleep in the halfway position. FYI you can choose to have one end dropped a touch to help with reflux, and it is super easy to attach. The rental process is also really smooth, I ordered 3 months in advance and it arrived on the agreed day.

Thanks that all sounds good and we also have a king so should be okay space wise. Good to know it arrived when they said. I'm thinking of ordering for a week before due date or even closer as I'm that certain in will be late again Grin

There's no need to leave until the last minute really as they're super flexible when you return it - we had ours 7.5months in the end last time. They emailed at 6 months to ask if we were still using it, and when we said we were they just said to get back in touch when we wanted it getting.
I thought I might be late as DS went 6 days over, but DD was 5 days early! Smile

Thanks Nessalina good to know they are flexible. And you give me hope with the early story- so dreading what feels like the inevitable wait!

I loved our snuzpod. Easy to put the side up or down and I didn't find it hard getting out of bed (had a c-section). My dd was a large baby and was in it until 6 months (would have lasted longer) when she moved to her own room. No idea if it goes on a malm bed though. It's smaller than a chicco, which was good for us as our bedroom is quite small.

Mortigua · 07/10/2017 14:31

Thanks seven201. I'm definitely going for the bed nest hire now but I know others were looking too on here. I love the look of the snuzpod, especially the grey!

I have troll bedside crib. You can pull the side up when they’re alone or down while you’re there
