@BellaMoon I went to the one at the barras !! Was a bit mental but managed to get everything haha!! Went for a stokke trailz in grey I love it, snuzpod, angel care monitor, mama roo & ordered cot. So lucky my dad/inlaws/aunts/grandparents all desperate to buy stuff (thank goodness lol)

My brother is going to get me sleepyhead and my friend has bought me a bath!!

I’m getting annoying cause we have a bathroom suite in the spare room 🙈 waiting to get a plumber to fit it but as the weeks go on it’s stressing me out!!!!! Lol!

@Anna2006 that pram is beautiful!!! My friend had a silver and navy pram and she was team yellow! Defo think it’s fine for either and I think pink and the blue r lovely together.

I have an appt for my whooping cough jag and my flu one on Friday not really looking forward to that lol.

My next midwife appt is November think I’ll be 28’weeks then xx

bakingmad83 · 11/10/2017 15:16

Certainly a day to be indoors today Bella, hope you've been able to enjoy a bit of well deserved down time. It's been awful in Cumbria too. Glad I didn't need to go anywhere, as quite a few roads in flood.

Glad all went well at your appointment Moo! I'm hoping mw can work out position of DD at my appointment next week, as don't want to have to go to hospital every fortnight till she arrives thinking she's breech only to find she isn't. Just as well that it's a myth about spicy food, as can't get enough of it, though always liked my food hot rather than a craving :)

I was meant to be going to a breastfeeding workshop on Monday afternoon, but when I turned up to the advertised venue it seemed it wasn't on. There's another in a fortnight, so going to confirm it's on this time. Bit frustrating, but made the most of an afternoon in a town to get stocking fillers for DS :)

Finally got my hospital bags just about packed. Going to try to get my relaxation CD listened to again this afternoon, just managing once a week, but better than nothing.

Hope you and Olivia are still doing well Dolly x

Anna2006 · 11/10/2017 17:43

Oh good I'm glad you lot are along the same lines that it is a gender neutral pram ☺️ We did think so too. Look forward to pushing it in like 15 weeks! An ill want to set it up once we pick it up! Are you guys keeping the pram elsewhere due to the superstition? We live an hour from all family so think we will need to collect it in Jan just before I'm full term an build it to make sure it's all okay. Seems logical.

@roseandbee oh good that you were measuring on target. Don't think I'll measure big my bump isn't massive but hopefully it will be on target. Have you had a test of any of the egg prams? They are such a solid sturdy pram and so nice to push. Couldn't deny they were worth the money once we saw them an tried one out.

@AmandaP86x wow looks like you've got a lot sorted! All slowly getting there. So nice purchasing all the things! I had whooping cough an flu jab together. Hardly felt a thing an altho my arm was bit sore to lie on for few days. Was fine though!

@Moo32 yay for midwifery led!

@bakingmad83 good news on getting the hospital bags packed. Won't be long at all. I have a while until I need to think about that but will need advise on wtf the pack!! Lol

ArchiesMamaBird · 11/10/2017 21:19

Oh my goodness Dolly, the hugest of congratulations on the birth of Olivia. She is an absolute beauty! 💕 I'm so happy for you and so glad that everything went ok.

Hope the rest of you are getting on ok. I can't believe how quickly the last few months have gone. You'll all have your beautiful babies soon! I promise to catch up on the thread and all of your updates soon.

Lots of love xx

BellaMoon · 12/10/2017 09:34

@AmandaP86x i went to the pram centre when i was about a week pregnant lol. it’s a crazy place, so many things under 1 roof. glad you got everything. i’m jealous of your Stokke. Defo wish i’d got that. I got a snuzpod too, get to collect that this week actually. just as well as the rest of our nursery furniture has been delayed til middle of nov.

have you checked the sleepyhead situation or whether it’s a sleep positioner or not? not read too much into the news stories this week but a few friends have mentioned to me that there could be a big recall as safety concerns have come to light. i don’t know if the sleepyhead is 1 or not. it’s basically a mattress isn’t it? maybe it’s not classified as a sleep positioner. worth having a look tho chic. x

great news for you @Moo31 did you get a scan at 36week appt? must have been lovely to see baby again! oh you must be so excited as it’s counting days now for you rather than weeks and months. x

when i had my diabetes test @Roseandbee they called me the same day with the results. not just because i was positive they were taking every1s tel no’s that day. have everything crossed you don’t have GD and get the all clear today x

@bakingmad83 big countdown for you now too, eeeek it’s getting so exciting! x

i am sat in the hospital car park over an hour early for my appt as i was pacing the floor at home giving myself anxiety. will head in shortly and maybe get seen early. i’m armed with my blood glucose monitoring diary, a list of questions and a demand that i get a growth scan. a pair of trousers that fitted me on monday (yes 3 days ago) no longer fit so this baby has either moved or doubled in size 😂 i’m hoping the latter isn’t the case but i’d like to know either way xx

MissMagpie · 12/10/2017 12:24

Just been referred to her via the PMA conception thread and wanted to say Congratulations Dolly. Sounds like you did amazingly during labour and you have produced a little beauty. :)

Not long for lots of you ladies now. Wishing you all well during these last few weeks.

BellaMoon · 12/10/2017 14:00

flu jab system at my surgery has me
in stitches 😂 see attached

wee update from my diabetes review this morn. baby is measuring a week ahead so i’m booked in for a growth scan next thurs. bloods assessed as still being too high so iv to double my dose of meds (avoided insulin injections for the time being phew). blood pressure higher than previous but thankfully still within safe limits. no iron issues or protein yipee.

if i can get my bloods under control & baby isn’t too big at the scan next week i’ll be induced on due date.

if bloods are still high and baby is chubby then i’ll be induced around 39weeks.

if baby’s frame is measured fairly big & bloods high i’ll be offered a section at 38 weeks due to pubic issues not being fully healed.

a lot of info to take in. have a terrible headache so this queue for my flu jab is now no longer funny! x

bakingmad83 · 13/10/2017 05:28

Bit like queuing up at the deli counter then Bella :) Hopefully increased meds will do the trick to control your blood glucose and scan will reveal your DS isn't too much bigger than expected. 1cm ahead doesn't sound too much tbh, but maybe they're more cautious in GD. At least you know plan based on different scenarios. Hope your head feels better.

Hard to believe just 5 weeks to due date, so could be here within a fortnight :) I'm expecting to be referred for another scan after appointment next week if I'm measuring further behind, it's increased by 1cm each time the last 3 appointments. Mw hasn't said as much, but don't think they'd let you get much further behind without checking baby's size even if you'd measured small in last pregnancy.

BellaMoon · 13/10/2017 20:44

oh @bakingmad83 you must be so excited. how is DS getting his head around the new baby news? is he paying much attention to your bump? sounds like your DD might be catching up in size with each appt. hopefully a scan will ease any worries you have.

i should have asked when i was at the hospital if being a week over was on top of the 10% my midwife had previously estimated or whether it was just a straight forward week ahead of my current gestation. i had that much info to take in that i didn’t fully think it all through. anyway, scan next thurs so i don’t have long to wait to find out.

any nice weekend plans then ladies? i’m working tomorrow which is probably the 10th saturday shift that iv ever done in my
whole life. no likey but needs must for training purposes. will probably chill out on sunday as nothing planned.

hoping @Dollydaydream2829 and little Olivia are home and settling in well xxx

bakingmad83 · 14/10/2017 06:24

Hopefully your day at work flies Bella and you can enjoy some relaxation tomo. Sorry, what I wrote doesn't make much sense when I read it back - meant at 28 weeks I was 1cm behind, 31 weeks 2cm behind and 34 weeks 3cm behind - so measuring further behind each time at the mo. I'm not particularly worried, as DD feels bigger in the sense that when she moves sometimes and gets stuck in certain positions it feels uncomfortable, which I never had with DS. Good luck with your scan on Thursday.

Yes, exciting times, though bit nervous about managing 2 esp at night. On the plus side DS managed to sleep through for the first time in about 3 months last night, so could do with a few more of those nights :) DS is excited for baby's arrival, but still seems disappointed he's not getting a brother. Likes to hug, kiss and talk to bump, which is really cute :)

Not sure of plan for today, but we're going to a christening party tomorrow afternoon.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend and hopefully the first at home for Dolly and Olivia x

Moo31 · 14/10/2017 09:18

@Amanda great you're starting to get stuff bought - I'm sure it's starting to feel real now :) hopefully u get your bathroom in soon! And hope your jabs went ok yesterday?

@baking I love spicy food too lol! Disappointing about the bf class - hopefully it's on this week. Great to have your bag packed! Did you get listening to the CD? I listened to it the whole way through for the first time yesterday - I was on the train so not an ideal atmosphere but still. Going to really make an effort to listen to it every other night ... will see how that goes!

@bella hopefully the meds keep you under control. Did they advise anything else? What a journey for you! Re flu jab - mine is the same re tickets although not re the wait! Although I was literally back in the car 4 mins later! - in, name and dob, raffle ticket, to end of corridor, stab, done! No how are you feeling today etc etc. Good luck for work today!

I was 36 weeks yesterday and I've been sick as a dog - I was never sick during the night but the past 2 nights I've been up sick through the night. Very strange. Hoping it's not a sigh that baby's arrival is imminent - I'm not ready lol!

Dollydaydream2829 · 14/10/2017 09:53

Morning ladies,

Thank you so much magpie - hope you're well and taking time to recover after everything. Wishing you so much luck & PMA.

You too Archie - I'm sure you'll all be on this grads thread by the time the year is out.

Sorry to hear about the sickness moo - has your headache resolved?? Hopefully baby stays cooking for a bit longer - as amazing as it is to meet them early, it's always lovely to get things a bit more organised.

Great stuff that your DS slept through the night baking - hopefully he'll continue to sleep well to give you a little break before baby comes! Fingers crossed baby doesn't measure any smaller next time although they're notoriously inaccurate and if you're feeling big movements then your intuition is probably better than the growth measurements.

Good luck for your scan bella - fingers crossed your bloods behave with the extra meds and you can be induced on your due date or go yourself before. That would be amazing!

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies - we managed to get home on the Wednesday which was amazing, however, she became really lethargic and had poor feeding so we got admitted got the special care baby unit on Thurs. She's jaundice, her bloods are off and she lost about 13% of her already teensy weight. Currently still here but she's been doing so much better so praying we can get home and start getting into a little routine but well aware she needs to be fully better beforehand. Picture attached as she's still so bloody beautiful!

BellaMoon · 14/10/2017 15:56

hey ladies

@bakingmad83 i can picture your DS cuddling into your bump and getting all excited, aw that melts my heart! i’m sure having 2 on the go will be a lot but you seem like the kinda person who’s always on the go. i’m sure you’ll slide right into the swing of things!

i gd picked you up wrong re: measurements. i thought you were 3cm behind then 2 now 1. i know these measurements are guesstimates (i actually hate that term so sorry for using it) but it’s true. accuracy not great at all. if DD feels bigger to you then DS did, i’d trust your instincts. no1 knows your body like you!

ah @Moo31 that’s rotten about the sickness. you deserve to be surrounded with loveliness in these last weeks not puke! hoping it lifts and maybe just something you ate rather than pregnancy related. you must be so frigging excited tho?! a month til EDD, eeeekkkkk!

@Dollydaydream2829 how adorable is she? can’t stop looking at her wee cheeks! so sorry to hear you were readmitted but so true that you’ll do whatever it takes to make sure you’re baby is getting what she needs. wee soul that she is. hope you’re doing ok physically too, don’t forget to look after yourself as well as little Olivia!

i’m home from work and feel quite tired. DH away to the football so house to myself. guilty pleasure on tv (teen mom 2) and a cuppa, bliss!

i had a text from my cousin yday asking how i was getting on etc. she proceeds to tell me her colleague gave birth yday by section to a 12lb 5oz baby boy! she was 35 and has a tiny frame. she didn’t have GD which was my first question. OMFG surely that’s a record breaker right there? none of my boys clothes will fit him if he comes out anywhere near that size! i bought an xmas day outfit for my boy in size 1month (i wanted it to fit rather than being too loose) and i’m now wondering if that will even fit him. oh well, any excuse for more shopping lol xx

Roseandbee · 14/10/2017 20:23

Bella I'm jealous of your Christmas outfit, it'll be great to get two Christmas in the proper baby stage. Over 12lbs is crazy! That's like two babies. I've not heard back about the GD so I presuming I don't have it.

Moo sorry your feeling sick, I've read it can come back later on :-/ hope it eases up.

Aww thanks for the baby pic motivation Dolly:) sorry she's poorly though, wishing her a speedy recovery so you can get properly settled at home.

Baking I'm sure ds won't mind once she arrives, Sounds like he's just super excited it's a baby. Can't believe how close everyone is getting now.

Anna, I've had a bit of a look at the egg in mothercare but I'm trying to ignore it due to price, my inlaws a buying it and I don't want to give them a heart attack, lol

Hi to the conception thread ladies! We've missed you, hope to see you all here soon.

I've got my second Hypnobirthing class tomorrow, can't remember if anyone else has mentioned they are doing it, altho I think some of you have a cd? not learnt how to apply it yet but I love listening to the tracks before bed

bakingmad83 · 14/10/2017 20:57

I wouldn't worry too much Bella, hopefully scan will reassure you that your DS won't be such a whopper as that when he's born and will fit the lovely Christmas outfit you have. Although babies of 9lb or 10lb aren't that rare (know a few personally), I think there aren't that many born at all over 12lb :) Sure you're right, will just find a way to look after two, lots of people have two under two, so sure two under three is easily doable :)

Moo I did manage to listen to some of the CD, but just track 3, as ran out of time to do the whole thing...hopefully over the weekend! Think I'd like to apply it more during labour this time round Rose, but it must have gone in, as when things didn't go to plan I was able to stay calm.

What an adorable pic Dolly. Sorry Olivia has been back in hospital, but sounds like all's going well since you've been in there, so hopefully you'll be home very soon. I know quite a few babies (both full term and born a little early) who were readmitted with jaundice and had no further probs once home again.

Ohb0llocks · 15/10/2017 05:52

12lb 5! My eyes are watering!!!!

DS was 8lb 10 and came out like superman (with his arm over his head). I’m hoping maybe it’s slightly more straightforward this time.

Lots of pelvic pain this week, and (tmi sorry) but my actual fanny, like the outside where your pubes live is aching like mad!!

Been getting a few cramps here and there and lots of fanny daggers so hopefully that’s a good sign. Just want him out now though so I can run around with DS again. He said to me the other day ‘Mummy when the baby comes out can we go swimming and you can take me on the slide again’ bless his little heart ❤️

BellaMoon · 15/10/2017 09:48

aw @Ohb0llocks how sweet is your DS. that’s super cute. less than a month for you too, sooo frigging exciting. cannot wait to hear all the baby arrival news from all the november babies.

as you’re team blue can you give me any name inspiration? i’m struggling big time!

also, sorry to hear about your pubic discomfort. since i slipped i am certainly moving a lot better but the pain i do still experience is directly on the pubic bone/area, exactly where you describe. if it persists i’d mention it to your midwife as it can be a sign of SPD x

@bakingmad83 how’s the hip pain now? and any other news on the house? x

@Roseandbee i’m really pleased you don’t have GD. not that it’s much of a hassle physically but the worry certainly is! you’ll have baby’s first christmas as almost a year old to look forward to, so much more alert and full of personality. my baby will probs sleep through all the festivities this year lol. well i’m hoping he does so i can eat my xmas dinner (have i mentioned how much i love my xmas dinner? it would be my death row meal!) x

have felt generally yuck last couple of days, probs just a hangover from the flu jab (my
bones are sore from the inside, can’t explain it any other way) but an excuse to have the heating on and be all cosy. cancelled my swim this morn and opted for a nice warm bath and face mask instead.

i set up an email address for our baby shortly after finding out we were pregnant. i don’t know if i mentioned this before or not. anyway, iv sent him regular emails with wee updates and pics etc. so this morning i managed to video big movements in my tummy so iv just sent him the video. i’m thinking, as a boy, he might be like “whatever mum” when he’s older & sees it but it’s made me totes emosh as i would have absolutely loved this if my mum had done this for me, considering she passed almost 19yrs ago. has brought a wee tear to my eye! handy tip, if you plan to do this for your baby, write the email address and password down somewhere you know you won’t lose it, i had it in my phone but now i’ve written it down in his baby book too just to be on the safe side xxx

bakingmad83 · 15/10/2017 20:07

Hope you haven't had any more sickness at night Moo, can't be pleasant. I had some nausea back earlier in the third tri, but touch wood I've not had any for the last couple of weeks. Really hoping I don't end up being sick throughout labour this time round, though recently a mum at playgroup told me she'd been sick with all hers, so just guess I'll have to wait and see. I'll make a fuss this time if I am though and ask for anti-sickness jab and fluids earlier - think just getting on with it last time didn't do me any favours.

Pain has just about gone now thanks Bella. No joy on the house yet, but if it's meant to be it will be. That's a lovely idea with the emails, sure he'll really appreciate it when he's old enough. Hopefully you'll feel better soon, sounds like you had a nice relaxing day though. Finally getting round to using the pregnancy massage voucher DH got me for my birthday 4 months ago, off for one tomo while he takes DS swimming.

Sorry to hear you've so much pelvic pain Ohb0llocks. The fanny daggers have started back up again here this week.

Ohb0llocks · 15/10/2017 20:24

@BellaMoon he’s a little love. I had a baby shower today and when he got home he was looking through all the presents for the baby and he was going ‘oh Mummy he will love that it’s so cuuuuute’

We’ve chosen our name, he’s going to be George. DS also has very traditional name.

Others on the list were
Albert (which I wasn’t keen on)
Thomas
Samuel
Ben
Max

BellaMoon · 15/10/2017 21:23

george is a lovely name @Ohb0llocks you’ve chosen well. we are so overthinking the name, it’s getting so silly. we have a few floating around but just can pick a clear winner. hopefully when baby arrives we will know when we see him. is that a myth or does it actually happen? x

i have completely chilled out today @bakingmad83 but if anything i feel worse as have had no fresh air. felt like going a walk before dinner but my bones are so achy and every time i bend down, i can see wee stars. as DH was out, i thought best not go a walk on my own. have since taken some paracetamol and a honey and lemon drink. feel very heady/ears popping so guess i’m in for a wee cold.

i have kept myself busy by washing/ironing all of baby’s hospital bag clothes. i have far too much and hopefully i won’t need it all as i won’t be in long but thought best to take too many of each so i’m not caught short. could end up with a very poopy/sicky baby who needs 5 changes a day! feeling much more organised now. hadn’t realised but some of the new born vests are only up to 7.5lbs. they look so so tiny!

hard to imagine that they’d still be far too big for little Olivia @Dollydaydream2829 how’s she doing now? x

Anna2006 · 15/10/2017 21:50

@bellamoon looks like you've got s gorgeous selection. Won't be long until you get to dress your little boy in all those lovely things. I noticed some newborns are only upto 7.5lb. They are so diddy and cute! Reckon mine may need them to begin with as I was s tiny baby but you never know lol!

@ohb0llocks hope you enjoyed your baby shower? Did you get lots of nice things?

Ordered our nursery furniture today to be delivered in 4 weeks time when I'm 28 weeks exactly. Excited for it to arrive and then get it set up! How early is too early to get it out together??

I lit my candle this evening for baby loss awareness day today. Ironically it was a year ago tomorrow that we found out our first pregnancy wasn't going to result in a baby. So seems close to my heart today. Feeling very grateful for this little one wriggling around in my belly 😍👶🏻

AmandaP86x · 15/10/2017 23:39

@Anna2006 aww me too! I found out on 18/10 last year. Feeling very grateful tonight too xxx

ReturnofSaturn · 16/10/2017 06:31

Hello lovely people!
What do you think about my belly size. I'm 24+5 and constantly getting comments on how small I'am.

Not helped by the fact that last week at my doc's app at the antenatal, the doc said baby was on the smaller side!? I had no idea about this, no one had mentioned it before and looking through my notes myself and scan reports I can't see anything that suggests it's particularly small.?? Confused
