Torn between tommie tippe nature ones or avent nature ones.
I see lots with TT. However a couple have said theyre not as good as avent. But others said they r brill.
I had the avent classic with DS and loved them.
I doubt I'll BF as I worry too much in public or even with family etc. But want to also find out about maybe BF St home and formula bottled out and about or of dp goes out with the baby etc. X

It doesn't have to be, I do combination feeding and had nothing remotely tricky about it.

Disagree entirely it is well known that it can be very challenging to establish breast feeding if you're also bottle feeding. Demand and supply rules.
Great that it's no problem for you but few would recommend that practice from birth.

Whatever you choose don't buy loads or spend a fortune because your baby might have other ideas and not get on with them. I bought TT and he hated them. He much preferred the shape of avent and he fed a lot better with them.

We used Avent natural from pretty much day one (bfing and bottle-feeding EBM) and DD took to them like a dream.

Dr Brown were fab for us (reflux baby) and also Difrax (Dutch brand)

Afreshstartplease · 21/08/2017 13:53

Ive used Avent, Avent Natural, Mam and Mam anti colic. No issues with any.

BoredOnMatLeave · 21/08/2017 13:56

Dr Browns were amazing for us. I read about Mam too, no doubt they bottles are good but I didn't get the self sterilising bit as surely its the same as putting it in a microwave steriliser?

I am a self confessed snob but even I don't understand how a babies bottle could be chavvy? Unless maybe it's covered in glitter?? TT didn't work for us, just make DD get a bad stomach, no problem in trying though as they are a lot less £.

SnowWhite33 · 21/08/2017 13:57

I also second that there was nothing tricky about combination feeding.

Was all fine, no confusions etc. quite the opposite actually, baby was used to both from start and gave me flexibility.

Therefore would disagree with those saying its totally not recommended

Branleuse · 21/08/2017 13:58

MAM ones are the best i found

For the self sterilising..the bottles fit together in a funny way. The bottom comes off too which you fill with water, then the teat and the body of the bottle go on top.
It's just like steam sterilisation without the sterilising unit.
Ideal for us and our teeny kitchen!

I never had an issue with TT.. must be the chav I'm me. Hmm
I considered using different ones this time round but realised TT worked well last time so I might as well have them again. I have just bought some and packed them away for when baby arrives.
I'm sure other bottles have this too, but I loved the little powder pots that slotted inside the bottle for when our and about.
