When you can't see down there to trim or shave and it's bloody awkward reaching around the belly even with a mirror to help?

Dd1 had to be handed a machete on the way out to hack her way through the jungle. I'd like to avoid that with dc2.

I'm thinking waxing but don't you need to trim beforehand?

Why bother?

Each to their own but I don't like feeling too messy down there, I just feel less clean.

Now I can't see what's going on down there I've just been shaving and hoping for the best (and to not cut myself to shreds).

All this talk about what to do when pregnant... it all goes out the window afterwards when you can only wash with water, your lochia is in full flow & everyone wants to look at your stitches/tears/grazes/piles.

There’s way no I was going to be faffing around down there with razors and trimmers and stubble to potentially make the situation worse.

I like the feeling of being smooth down there so I'm planning to have another laser session about two months before due date. That will keep it smooth for the delivery and after, and don't need to worry about stubble and ingrowns (regrowth when it eventually comes is always slow and soft, and most importantly, never ingrown, I find).

I've always found shaving far to itchy but have trimmed the odd spider leg. Never bothered to have a wax.

I don't both doing anything else usually. I think it's grown much longer though and further around my bottom which is making cleaning after a poo not the easiest so I'm going to do some trimming soon I think with a mirror.

Not otherwise bothered!

Leave it alone...pubes are good for childbirth 😉

endofacentury · 01/01/2018 09:10

When I gave birth 13 years ago I never shaved as had always had a full bush. I had to have a lot of stitches afterwards and the midwife huffed that my pubes were getting in the way and muttered under her breath "it's so hairy" and tutted! I was high on gas and air but was still mortified. People says midwives don't care but they must do really. Was so embarrassing
