First pregnancy when did you give birth?

I was just wondering with your first pregnancy how long before or after edd did your little bubbas come? And how long was your labour.

I was 38 weeks on the dot when I had my DD.

sorry, labour started at 6am and I had her at 11:30, 30 mins pushing

My 1st, DS, 12 days overdue. 16 hours labour, back to back and ventouse delivery. 9lb 11 and huge. Perhedine, gas & air, epidural, the works!
DD, 6 Days overdue. Labour pains started about 2pm. Arrived at hospital 8ish. Not in established labour. Told to wait in day room. By 10pm proper in labour, DD born at 11.15. No intervention, just gas & air.
2 very different experiences but just to show that every birth is different.

36 weeks. Waters broke so went to hospital 8pm. Kept me in but nothing happened. Bit of backache around midnight. Period type pains on & off. Didn't take me seriously as i was very calm when I told them I thought something was happening. They told me to get some sleep & assumed first baby = long labour.
A midwife finally examined me around 2.30am when i pressed the buzzer as i could feel a lot of pressure. Turns out i was fully dilated & they realised the baby was breach. I had to press the emergency buzzer for help while the midwife kept her hand in there to stop the baby coming out! Rushed me down to delivery with her hand still there!! Bit of gas & air, few pushes & DD came out bottom first! All in all labour was around 3 hours. Can't complain at that Smile

2 days early was in slow labour ( waters leaking ) no idea..... anyway waters broke at 10 pm went to hospital at 1050 was9cm he was born at 1153 lol

My first was due on 18 July by my original dates, but my 12 week scan put my dates back by a week so my due date became 25 July. He came on 18 July! Happy birthday to my DS1... Second time round my due date was changed in the other direction by three days and arrived on the new due date. My babies are punctual!

Oh, and first labour was about 36 hours from first contraction to forceps delivery in theatre. Second was 6 hours from start to finish at home.

Waters went at 38 weeks. Admitted the next day to start IV antibiotics with all the pre labour signs. Was contracting randomly at 38+2 there was a room available on Labour ward so put me on the syntocin drip and DD was born 8 hours later, early the next day at 38+3. I have never been so exhausted in my life.
The contractions on the drip became intense very quickly (I have no comparison mind) but got through it on copious amounts of gas and air.

5 days late, but going by my first scan and my own calculations i was bang on my original due date. Labour was 5hrs 17 mins from first contraction :)

Waters went at 37+6 at 9am, contractions started around 2pm, active labour at 2.30am the following morning and gave birth at 10.29am that morning at 38 weeks exactly.

With my first I was five weeks early and 3 hours from my waters breaking to having him, second was three weeks early and 2 hours from start to finish. Wonder how quick this one will be eeek

8 days early. Took 37 hours tho and was induced in the end.

@mammabear4 Iv had two births with gas and air, first three hours from start and second two hours from start. Both early babies. My mum was induced with both of us at two weeks late with 20+ hours of labour and every pain relief possible lol. We were totally different

On due date. Mild pains started around midnight and baby was born at about 7am.

Second labour was one day after due date and she was born in about 15 mins.

TheLegend - haha same here: DS arrived at 41+1, EMCS 4 days after contractions began. So happy to finally meet my boy!

I was 37+2 so nearly 3 weeks early !
baby weight 6 pound 10 can't imagine how big she would be if I had lasted 3 more weeks

I was induced at 41+3, contractions started 12 hours after induction and she arrived 25 hours later!

8 days late. Baby arrived by ECS about 36 hours after my waters broke.

Number 1 - On due date he has grow up to be a very punctual conscientious person!
Number 2 - 10 days late, laid back home birth, laid back person.

probably all coincidence.
