Tutti Bambini Cozee Bedside Crib

Hi, just wondering if anyone has one of these. I think they must be relatively new as I can't find any reviews on line. I saw it in Mothercare last week and much prefer it to the other options plus you can adjust the height to make it higher at one end incase of colic.

I'm a ftm due in November so would appreciate your feedback. Thanks

You don't need a mattress it comes with one as far as I can see. Im ordering one too but i think you only need to buy sheets additional

Ahhh I've just read the online description fully and see that it does. Can't see the wood for the trees. That's a relief.

I bought the mother care travel cot sized sheets, they’re a little big but tuck in well and were much cheaper.

Think we're going to buy some more sheets, will get the Mothercare ones I'm thinking. We bought the Tutti mattress protector and followed the washing instructions to the letter but it shrunk a bit in the wash and now pulls the mattress into a slanting shape :/ not impressed!!

And we've now returned the mattress protector! 🙈 As if the shrinking wasn't enough the final straw was when DS threw up in the crib in the early hours and the vomit went straight through the "waterproof" mattress protector and onto to mattress underneath. I just wanted to cry! When we went to Mothercare to return it I saw there were loads of the fitted sheets in stock and was tempted to buy them for a second as we could us some better fitting sheets but I felt damned to give Tutti bambini any more money than I already had!

Oh no @mummabubs!!! I thought it was just me who shrank it... went a bit bobbled too.

My LO is arriving next week so yet to use it. Did you buy a mattress protector in a different make?

mummabubs · 14/11/2017 12:12

Can't believe that happened to you too @dramallamakarma! Really disappointing isn't it! I took mine back to Mothercare, didn't have a receipt but pointed out it was faulty and sold exclusively by Mothercare so under consumer rights act I was entitled to a refund. The staff were surprised it had shrunk and wasn't waterproof but agreed that wasn't good. Maybe leave a review on the Mothercare website so others can have a heads up? Booooo on you Tutti Bambini!

We haven't bought a new mattress protector yet but we cut up an Asda bag for life which is doing a better job! 😂😂

I love it- not used it yet as baby not due until Feb but it looks just the job. I just bought the mothercare fitted sheets and they fit pretty much perfectly! Also the sleepy head fits in great and am pleased at how spacious it is and how transportable it can be in the travel bag.

My DD is almost 6 months old and has been using this crib since birth. It’s been brilliant, no probs with it at all. I got fitted sheets from Mamas and Papas (their brand) but I can’t remember which size I bought now. They just stretch over.
We’ve taken it on trips away and to relatives’ houses when we’ve stayed away and it’s really easy to put up and take down, plus it comes with the travel bag.
My DD is long for her age but still fits in it fine. She outgrew the Moses basket downstairs by 3 months or so.

Argghhh bloody sheets!!! I’ve just gone to put the ‘official’ sheets on the crib after washing them according to the instructions & they don’t bloody fit!

Must’ve shrunk in the 30 degree wash? Now they make the mattress bunch up.

Ended up in tears on the phone to mothercare as they wanted me to go into store with the original packaging (I don’t have it & live an hour away from the nearest shop). Finally agreed to send me a collect+ label.

What do I do now? I’m having a CS on Friday, I have cot bed sheets which I’ve folded around the mattress but it’s making me angry just looking at it.

I'm rubbish, sorry to hear that @dramallamakarma. Interesting that I had the same issue with the mattress protector of shrinking despite washing at the right temperature. Someone should really alert Tutti to all of these issues as I somehow doubt Mothercare are passing the complaints on...

I bought sheets designed for a Snüzpod and whilst snug they do fit if you play around with them. Also can I ask has anyone else noticed that their cozee naturally slopes towards the bed? I ask as we'd noticed it on ours (DS always ends up one the left side with his face planted into the side) and I mentioned this to a friend this morning who also has the cozee and hers slopes too!! Not what you'd expect for £185 worth of bed.

*thats rubbish!! (Although I am feeling pretty rubbish today but that's another story!) 😂

Would you ladies recommend this as a purchase? I'm torn between it and the next 2 me and don't know which one to buy but there seem to be loads of issues with sheets/slopes etc. Would you say it's worth the money? Hmm

Report
mummabubs · 21/11/2017 19:56

Honestly I'm not sure if we would @PipsM but that's as much to do with the service we've received from Mothercare than anything else. It's not brilliantly made to be honest but it does look nice compared to other cribs and another bonus for us was that it folds down for travel which we need with in-laws being a fair trek away. (Don't buy into the "30 second assembly" though, I'd love to see someone do it in that, took me nearly 5 minutes!!) I think the experience with the mattress protector and sheets plus Tutti have changed aspects of the design a couple of times since it was first released make me feel all the Tutti cozee products are overpriced for the quality. I certainly wouldn't recommend buying the official sheets or mattress protector. Have you been to a store and looked at one close up? Might help you to compare?

Thanks for your honesty @mammabubs I liked them in the shop but it seems a lot of money if there are this many problems. Luckily have a while until baby gets here, so can wait and see if they improve (or there's a better deal!)

Report
mummabubs · 21/11/2017 21:02

Sounds like a smart move 😊 Not sure if you're aware of this but if you go to a Mothercare Parent to be event you get a goody bag with 10% off everything including any orders you place- we did that with the Tutti Bambini so got a bit of money off. They originally priced it at £170 so I can't believe they've increased the RRP despite all the teething problems! Good luck choosing the right crib for you :)

I ordered my tutti bambini cozee at the baby show in Olympia last month. I ordered on Sunday and arrived via mothercare at my house on Tuesday. I’m just going to use flat sheets that I already have

How did people get on with this? I'm looking to buy one soon but a lady who owns an independent baby store has put me off by saying she 'doesn't deal with tutti bambini anymore' but wouldn't divulge any more info..

I'm still waiting for them to contact me to send me my third Cozee(!) but assuming they have fixed the tilting issue then I'd say I'm happy with the product. We needed a sleeper that could fold down and be transported easily which others can't, but I have to say don't bother buying the mattress protector (it's not waterproof) or the sheets. We found other brands on Amazon for a third of the price that do a better job x

mummabubs · 13/07/2018 16:24

There's another thread on here about the tilting issue and the Cozee @Kt2108, think the title has " 8 week old " in it if you wanted to search for it as that's much more recent x

Thank you! I will do. Just came across this thread when I was trawling through google x
