Slim people - did your belly button pop?

I'm currently 28+4 and my belly button is really shallow and stretched-looking Sad The only people I know who didn't get an outie are overweight and had deep ones to begin with - any slim people about who can reassure me theirs stayed an innie?

I'm horribly freaked out about it, the very idea of it popping makes me

My waist at smallest was (about 4" above bellybutton, but even so) 28", and I totally popped out. Fast return after birth, though.

Reetgood .... since the dawn of time women have been saving the nasty information to pass down to another woman once they know she's definitely pregnant. It's the rules, and how we ensure the species continues Grin

@honeydragon I've thought as I got older that having women coming in to talk about pregnancy and childbirth would be a great bit of pshe (or whatever they call it now) and would probably be extremely effective in promoting use of contraceptives...

I was slim before my pregnancies. Sadly I am no longer. My belly button did not pop, but rather stretch until totally flat.

Or teens.

These kids, are called PILES

and THESE are CONDOMS.

Class dismissed.

Nope my didn't pop it looked like a cats bum as my wonderful DH pointed out 😂

adlertippa · 21/05/2017 18:25

Ah what! Mine popped out at about 5 months and I felt ok because I thought everyone's did! And I've got a linea nigra like bloody Ronseal's dribbled down me. No stretch marks yet, tho I've heard of people suddenly sprouting them in the last weeks of pregnancy so I'm not getting complacent.

God I can't wait to lie face down again. I swear the first thing I do after giving birth (and maybe a token 5 minutes of skin to skin) will be to lie face down on the bed until a midwife tells me off.

LapinR0se · 21/05/2017 18:27

I was 49kg on the day I got pregnant and 62 the day I gave birth.
My belly button just stretched out so it was completely flat and so so soft like velvet.
I got no linea negra and no stretch marks either.

Roomba · 21/05/2017 18:32

I am slim and mine went flat. I worried it would pop out but in the end it just stayed very flat. If I'd gone overdue I'm not sure it would have held out much longer though.

this is absolutely true! I've discovered no end of undignified/horrible things will happen/have happened since becoming pregnant that no-one^ thought to mention before I was up-duffed. It's a conspiracy!

I was a size 6-8 when I got pg.

My belly button had a life of its own - it went flat, popped, went flat again, popped again. Really bizarre! I think it was due to how DS's position.

I also learned that I have a mole on the inside of my belly button.

Sorry OP!

Herbie22 · 22/05/2017 15:22

I was size eight. Belly button became completely flat. I looked like an alien! It's gone back in now but looks very deep like a well.
