Hi everyone! Me and my OH are looking to rent somewhere for a year and we're not sure whether to get a 2 or 1 bedroom place! How long did your baby stay in your room until you moved them across?

It's far far worse to co-sleep exhausted and asphyxiate your baby.

Agreed.

You can have your baby in your room and not cosleep. Not really sure why you'd get better sleep with them in a different room. Safe co sleeping works brilliantly for some people. I never felt comfortable with it as I wasn't breastfeeding and DS was prem so was advised against it.

24 hours with my first, didn't share at all with my second. Absolutely no regrets and will do the same with my third. Breastfed both to six months.

We all wake each other up constantly when we sleep together, every little snuffle and cry. Our rooms were next door and doors were wide open, we still used to wake up frequently. I got up numerous times to feed in the night, in the nursery, then went back to bed. Never used 'controlled crying' to settle them and they've generally been good sleepers. It worked for us is all I can say, and my feeling is that is something like sids is going to happen it will do so regardless.
